This little guy seriously scares me. Anyone remember the song 'Little Girl' from A Bit of Fry and Laurie? Yeah...
Oh, yeah I remember that.

Jen send me a PM. I have an extra copy of Series 1 and 2. Maybe we can work something out.
Namaste- 08-18-2007
So Silja, I just got back from the Ralph Stanley concert. He's a gem. At his age he lets his band (including his son Ralph II and grandson Nathan, age 15) handle most of the heavy lifting. He'd sometimes just introduce songs and let them handle the rest.
Ralph II: "You used to sing this one with me, Dad."
Ralph: "But I forgot the words, so let Dan sing it with you." (He remembered them the second time through the chorus and took over the harmony.)
What his voice has lost in power more than makes up for in emotion and depth. And he sure has learned to work the merch sales over the past 60 years. Nearly every song is followed by: "And that's on my CDs, for sale out in the lobby."
The band -- the Clinch Mountain Boys -- all have uniforms of orange shirts, bolo ties and black pants, but grandson Nathan wears a black shirt. I asked the bass player when Nathan would be allowed to wear the uniform.
"He does, sometimes, but he likes to dress like his PaPaw."
"Angel Band" and "Man of Constant Sorrow" were the encores.
Still jealous?
Next week, I work the Raul Malo show on Thursday, Rufus Wainwright on Friday and Jan Crist with Curtis Armstrong on Saturday. That's Curtis Armstrong as in Booger from "Revenge of the Nerds." Seems he also does music on the side. Which means in one week, I will have made the transition from Ralph Stanley to Booger. It's an interesting music town.

Soap Opera Season One
After 407 was forced to break up with her boyfriend, Christian, she encountered her evil twin sister Jen. Jen promptly stole her daughter, Hail the Random, and held her hostage. 407 fled to her friend, galaxygirl for help.
Season 2
And in S2 soap!galexygirl manages to get soap!me out of the evil clutches of soap!Jen and we and soap!407 try to get out of the abandoned soap!hospital on 42nd street. But Soap!jen is tricky! she has her evil henchmen, soap!Jouse, soap!Lully, and soap!radiosweetheart try to block us from getting out of the abandoned soap!hospital on 42nd street alive! S2 will have all sorts of funny antics, such as soap!me and soap!407 doing surgery and soap!galexygirl trapping one of the soap!Jen's soap!henchmen with only surgical tape and stethscopes! the S2 cliffhanger will be soap!jen pushing soap!us out of a window!
Season 3
Soap!Jen gets a stroke and wakes up thinking she is the good twin. the soap!good guys (soap!407, soap!gg, ect.) decide to give me a chance because they think the stroke changed soap!me. Too bad my old self starts showing up and I begin to suffer from Multiple personalities!
SO after the soap!good guys take soap!jen to therapy to deal with her soap!multipul personality disorders, soap!Jen begins an evil plot with her soap!therapist, who we don't know yet. In the S3 finale, soap!Jen gets her soap!evil henchmen back together and they capture soap!407!
Season Four
But in S4, things get crazy. soap!407 is saved after a climatic fight on the roof of a 20 story building and then I deal with a mutiny among my henchmen. I get castigated and am now a sole loner, confused as to which side I belong on. That way I'm a neutral character that can't be trusted by either side. Every soap opera needs one of those.

*snickers* That became a real mess it did.
Hail the Random- 08-18-2007
Yep. So far, we've had a stroke, a teenager preforming surgery, a muntiny with henchmen, and an abandoned hospital on the cornerof 42nd street.
JenButterfly- 08-18-2007
Oh, and 407 wanted to stick poisoning men in there somewhere, but I have no idea where we can fit that in.
Hail the Random- 08-18-2007
...I can.
JenButterfly- 08-18-2007
OK, so which season do we have time for that? Or is it a sub plot through out all seasons?
Hail the Random- 08-18-2007
Season 2, when we're trying to get out oft he abandoned hospital on the corner of 42nd street.
JenButterfly- 08-18-2007
Right. While you guys are busy trying to escape my clutches, you manage to find time to poison someone. That's crazy. So crazy, it might just work.
Hail the Random- 08-18-2007
No, we poison one of your henchmen to try to get out of the AHotCo42ndSt. But they survive, due to the fact that they were near an anti-poison injection. :D
