I think I've been watching too much "Project Runway" with Christian and his obsessions with the word "fierce" and things being a "hot tranny mess," because when I saw this in a work-related email:
Kia to Build Trannies in Georgia

My first thought wasn't transmissions.
UPDATE!
Two of the puppies now have a new home! :D And someone has expressed interest in the other male, so he may get a new home next week.
Yeah for the puppies. They definitely deserve loving homes.
ETA: I just realized that an avatar from 101 Dalmatians might not be the best when I'm writing about cute, little, fuzzy, furry puppies with soft, strokable coats.
Wonderful news! I hope their new families adore them and spoil them rotten like they deserve.
Whoa! I was just popping in to request a Puppy Update, and I'm delighted to see that two of them have new "parents"! Which two were adopted - the Lab-ish ones?
And is the one who might go next the big-footed Ger Shep mix? What about Penny? Is she gone, or still there? And how did the new people strike you - caring and responsible? Do they have yards for the pups to romp in and kids to romp with?
Whew - I'm sure this is a huge relief, extra_cat - even if it must have been a little sad as well. Anyway, you've made a big deposit into your karma account!

Um, yeah, I thought about that, Poeia, but I wasn't going to say anything! I don't think extra_cat realized the threat your avatar posed, but even if it is Hugh, I'm sure she would have defended the puppies by tackling him to the ground. Uh-huh, she would just pin him down while the pups got away. Tough decision, but it would have been her duty to put Hugh in restraints. :D
While we're on cute animals... I was on holiday last weekend and met a
one day old lamb.
Awwwww. And it even looks like it's smiling for the picture.
Ouch, ouch ,my eyes!! That lamb is painfully cute, hwshipper! Those long legs and that smiley face, and the mom has a smiley face too. Were you at a petting zoo?
Hee! Not a petting zoo, though that is my hand petting it. No, I was at a family wedding in Normandy; my aunt & uncle run a gite and keep a few sheep because there's no other practical way of keeping the grass down. The first lamb of the year arrived at 3 AM the morning after their son got married :D
So glad to know about the puppies. Must be a relief for you EC.
Wow, Hwshipper a gite in Normandy. Do they rent out rooms?
And is that your hair on the right?
I get curious about the way all of you here look sometimes. We could sit next to each other in the park (if we were on the same continent) and not know it!
*blushes* yes that's me. They're expat Brits & have a small cottage they rent out.
I too often think I could be sitting next to 407 or silja or daisylily (or any of the other Brits on the forum whose names escape me, sorry) on the tube and never know it...
Ow! That lamb is almost too cute to be real. Those legs are LONG!
I too often think I could be sitting next to 407 or silja or daisylily (or any of the other Brits on the forum whose names escape me, sorry) on the tube and never know it...
There's also the sad fact that people sometimes disappear abruptly from the forums and are never heard from again. Did they grow tired of House, or of us, or did something awful happen? We're unlikely to ever know.

A cottage in Normandy! Heaven!

We need a symbol to wear discreetly upon our lapels and perhaps a secret handshake..

Probably just a little pin showing your own avatar would be perfect. I tend to recognize those before the name anyway. ;-)
