Dude, where did you hear of this engagement news? And yeah, the third movie is -soooo- much awesomer if you watch the first two. People.com. I posted the link in the Media, the JM and the JS threads. I really want to see the Bourne ultimatum. I liked the first two movies, can't wait to see this one. Still have to see the Simpsons movie too.

OOOh, someone talk some sense into me before I go post something I'l regret over at The Other Place. The mods have been on the rampage tonight, they must have edited 20 odd posts as well as the litany this goes here, this doesn't go there....

galaxygirl- 08-15-2007

It's not worth it Ranee, I talked myself out of a bunch of posts today. The editing is getting completely out of hand there.

Ranee- 08-15-2007

eh, you're right. But I have a brilliant post to Darth telling TWoP to stuff it ready to post at a moment's notice!

romanshoes- 08-16-2007

I'm not sure if this is off-topic or not, but... I am so annoyed with TWOP right now that I'm not even going to boycott it. I'm just going to continue posting like I normally do. I will ignore the new mods (not, of course, Sara M and co., but the rest of the wretched creatures) until they kick me off. I know this will probably do nothing, but I'm sort of hoping that once they realize they've kicked EVERYONE out of the House forums and nothing has been updated in two weeks, they'll get rid of the new mods. WHO'S WITH ME?! (Yes, I am inciting a riot. And I thought my new meds were supposed to stop me from doing such things. Oh well.)

I'm starting to think more and more that it might be their intention to have all the older posters leave/get banned and mold all the newbies into perfect little posters. I realize that I might see conspiracies everywhere, but I just can't shake that feeling.

Ranee- 08-16-2007

:whines: I want to tell Darth what for. (I also want to tell what's her name to buy a clue - TWoP posting is down because the show's popularity is declining?? WFT?)

I'm up because there's a thunderstorm in the vicinity. And I'm not even joking-- I just heard a really loud, non-thunderstormy kind of noise and my life pretty much flashed before my eyes. It's probably just a transmitter (not mine, obviously) but things are ten times more frightening at 3 in the morning. *g*

I realize that I might see conspiracies everywhere, but I just can't shake that feeling. Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they're out to get you. :whines: I want to tell Darth what for. I wanted to, too. I even tried. And failed. I do think that this whole thing is house(ahem)cleaning. So, as 10,000 Maniacs said "Give 'em what they want." In happy news-My sister got a job as a Professor (adjunct, but eh) of theatre! I'm so proud of that drama queen!

In response to having a spoiler bit removed from the spoiler discussion and placed in the speculation thread, I was "noted". I responded to PM Barnes and did tell her that I thought they were wreaking havoc on the forum. And then to be a bit rebellious, I went over to the speculation (non-spoiler) thread, where the discussion was moved. Someone responded or posted another spoiler from the promo, but she put spoiler bars on it. I responded by quoting, but without the spoiler bar, and said in my post why I did that (because of course this was no longer a spoiler, right?--according to the new rules or old rules or whatever). I got warned for saying things about the board in a post. I now have an official warning. so then someone posted something, which was edited, and she was confused. So I pm'd her. She said that she (and I don't want to post her screen name--better to surprise the enemy, eh?) and a couple of other long-timers were thinking of staging a rebellion on the boards. I don't know if any of you guys areinvolved, but I will keep you posted. so then I peeked at some of the threads and looked at the number of mod-edited posts, and it was insane: Amysusanne's had several edited (and she does not seem to suffer fools gladly, so I don't know what her reaction is to all this); lots of other other regulars and even newbies are getting edited. I think people will get intimidated and just stop posting. Period. Or rebel. And people who watch House, I think are more intelligent and rebellious minded than say the Gray's anatomy or American Idol People, so... Anyone see my copy of Kafka's The Castle...?

saara_zaara- 08-16-2007

sasmom, no - but I can lend you my copy of Orwell's 1984.

DIY Sheep- 08-16-2007

Has anyone seen Michael Moore's new movie: Sicko. Feeeyoar! Having to pick which finger you can afford to put back on? How come on House even Cuban refugees get free medical care?

TrooperCam- 08-16-2007

Feeeyoar! Having to pick which finger you can afford to put back on? How come on House even Cuban refugees get free medical care? Same reason Cubans can stay but Haitians have to go back?? Jeebus...I have had papers with less editing than what is going on at TWOP. How can anyone follow a discussion if they keep taking stuff away?

DIY Sheep- 08-16-2007

Why can Cubans stay, but Haitians shunned. Is it to do with the whole 'we hate Castro' thing.

TrooperCam- 08-16-2007

Why can Cubans stay, but Haitians shunned. Is it to do with the whole 'we hate Castro' thing. That's a lot of it.
