It's Seattle. We vote on everything. All the time. Even stuff the people we voted for to vote on stuff have already voted on. And if someone doesn't like the outcome of the last vote, we'll have another vote.
To make things more complicated, even if something has been voted in, like, 12 times, it still takes forever and 3 more votes to make sure that whatever was voted on actually gets executed on. Witness the drama of light rail. (Have I mentioned how "over" I am of living right smack dab in the middle of light rail construction? My commute to work makes me want to shoot people.)
I am assuming that in the future we will get 25 rounds of voting on whether or not to give the Sonics everything they want before the that vote gets superseded regardless of what the population voted for.
I really love this city sometimes.

Thanks for the explanations :D
I'm back to my accustomed level of confusion.

Need us to persuade anyone... :tritter:
Count me in :tritter:
And I'm a little confused. Is it the primaries you're speaking of? I thought that was early next year.
I was referring to the writers' strike and offering support to donkeykong and the other writers among us against the avarice of the corporate bastards.
On a separate, more alturistic note:
If you go to this website: http://www.thehungersite.com/ and click the tabs at the top of the page, you can help
feed the hungry,
support children’s healthcare,
save the rainforest,
buy books for poor schools,
give free mammograms to poor women, and
rescue animals right now
absolutely freeAnd they have a lot of fantastic gifts that benefit so many charities..

Heh, sorry houserocket, I was offering my help in braining, ehm, *persuading* the AMPTP. The question was in response to all the talk about voting and ballots.

More altruistic-ness? http://www.freerice.com/index.php
They give you words, and you have to guess the definition. And you donate 10 grains of rice for every word you get right. Excellent time killer, and it's for a good cause!

Totally gross question, but does anyone know the best way to get vomit out of your sink?
radiosweetheart- 11-01-2007
I love the total lack of context, there.
I'd recommend a plastic cup and some paper towels.
Wear gloves.

Context is so overrated.
Thanks, I'll make sure to tell him that, there is no way I'm cleaning that mess up ;)
arizonamyrie- 11-01-2007
And bleach - diluted down to about 20% or so. I had to clean one a work one time for a resident, and that's what I had. If some stays, then use the papertowel, but still bleach the sink afterwards.

You're totally a college student, aren't you? ;)
TrooperCam- 11-02-2007
I read that as how do you get vomit out of your skin
Wow, that's what I get for coming home from work early
Totally new topic
I posted this to my LJ but maybe some folks here could help as well. I am looking for elements to help fill my DJ blocks in my radio shows, news articles, funny websites anything funny, informtive or interesting to fill 48 minutes of me speaking.
Also I am looking for a good piece of bed music, basically that is the music that plays under the DJ when they are talking. I need it to be about 2 to 3 minutes in length to keep me honest. I want something that if it ending I need to stop talking.
Any suggestions PM them to me thanks

What type of show do you do? What type of music, news, talk, etc... is on there?

The music is straight Hot AC, pumped in from Europe to Asia woot woot
So very heavy on the Nickelback, Colbie Calliet and Assorted wonders like that
News is AP Network news, the top news from the States and Locally produced pieces here in Korea
The shows exist to get out CI- Command Information, everything from what the weather and exchange rate is to things to do in the local community and the typical AFN don't drink and drive and beat your wife pieces.
I tend to Wiki the artists and talk about something concerning them, new album, the year the song was released, albums but since we can't really backsell the artists played that makes it hard when you have a three block set to do and can only backsell one of the three songs.

Wow. I am reassured by the fact that Japan is not so different from the states. I'm watching a Christmas movie on November 2. Awesome. Halloween is over, so let's bring on Christmas!

I need to rant.
I have now been permanently banned from TWOP. But that's not why I'm mad. It's the reason.
In the discussion of the current season. I asked the thread to "give these guys a break," meaning the writers of the series. I was told that that was rude, hence I've been banned. I am so confused. Half of the posts are rude and nasty to the shows writers and producers. So how could my "give these guys a break" get me banned? I'm so confused (removing my twop icon off my favorites toolbar).
