Hey - to all those who celebrate Halloween - what are your costumes going to be? Last night, I dressed up in a suit from the waist up, with leather gloves and a homemade shoulder holster for a toy gun, then wore bunny slippers and boxers with hearts on them. I told everyone I was a halfway-decent gangster. Nobody understood the pun. Probably because it was crap anyway.

I don't think I've ever dressed up for Halloween (yes, I am boring). Not boring - wft, the Rockies? 3 run homer?

last yearI was a pirate- white shirt, blue skirt, black tights, black boots, cool waistcoat, bandana and heavy eyeliner. Oh- and to add the usual xarlster fun to it, I sewed a toy parrot to the shoulder of the waistcoat and then painted fake bird poos down the back of the waistcoat. Sadly, few got the joke. The gangsters thing is amazing. My friends and I are planning to go to chessington theme park for the day, we're undecided on whether to go in costume or not. Speaking of which, in December, my flute group (all fifteen of us loonies) are going BUSKING in the main train station of the closest city!!!! so if anyone's in guildford on december 15th, drop into the main station and look for a load of flute-playing loonies in santa hats.

I haven't dressed up for Halloween myself since I was a child but I have helped my daughter (she's 20 and a big fan of halloween) many times. She went to a halloween party last night wearing a dress from the '50s with her long hair in a ponytail with a ribbon and wearing bobby socks--as a bobby-soxer. Also she wore an old red leather "letter jacket". But she wore red bobby sox and athletic shoes and painted her face like an athlete so she was a Red Sox bobby soxer... :lol: Do I need to say she's a Red Sox fan? :wink:

Kids came around and one of the cool things places do is invite locals to go trick or treating. My husband put on the full Royal Guard getup to hand out candy. It was a HIT. I don't know what teh Korean equivelant of "OMG that's so cool" (I know it in Japanese) but we heard it and the click of ten thousand cell phone cameras going off for three hours straight Today the Christmas stuff was already up
