Wow. It was weird dream night last night then, huh?
I had a weird dream last night. There were 2 random guys who I tihnk were Chase and Wilson having sex on my futon. And there was something to do with the Dumbledore being gay thing. And then a whole bunch of Harry Potter characters and my friend Lindsay went to a store-type thing, but it was round and floating in the air. And we had to find something, although none of us knew what. So Lindsay and i were walking down a toothpaste isle, and there was a big black snake there, and i think I accidentally stepped on it or something because it tried to attack me and the back end of the snake got wrapped around my ankle. I was somehow standing on my hands waving my leg around trying to keep the snake from biting me and Lindsay was yelling for help and then...my stupid alarm went off.

Got a House shoutout on the air today. Played All American Rejects Dirty Lottle Secret and managed to work Tyson Ritter appearing on House into the show :)

Urgh! 34 degrees? My apartment's about that temperature although it's about 63 degrees outside. Go figure. Maybe if I could read Japanese I could figure out how to turn the freaking heater on.
I had a weird dream the other night, too. It was The Office related. I think Corporate wanted to fire Michael Scott and I was eavesdropping on their conversation. I woke up just as they discovered me eavesdropping. Although I think Jim and Pam kept asking me what they were saying.

On a different note, do citizens of England prefer to be called English or British. Is there a reason?
Thanks.
Laura

Ha, there's a nice can of worms houserocket7
I'm a British *citizen*. I have a British passport. You don't get English passports.
However many people from England prefer to be identified as English (as opposed to Scottish or Welsh or from Northern Ireland).
Personally I prefer to be identified as British, not English. But that's possibly because I'm only half English and I always tick 'other' on those ethnic identity boxes on forms.
I imagine other 'Brits' on this forum can explain better than me...

I posted a post last night and it is not there. I am sad. :( I think it was quite witty and I even got out of bed to post it.
Edit: I'm a moron and was in the wrong thread.

That's interesting, hwshipper. I always refer to the citizens of England as English, mainly because, to me, it seems more logical. I don't call it Britain or Great Britain, I call it England. England, to me, equals English. Well, that, and the fact that I got yelled at once for calling somebody British as opposed to English when I was younger.
Silja- 10-23-2007
What hwshipper said. I'm of mixed ethnicity as well so that might have something to do with it.

Yeah, this English person I worked with three years ago got annoyed whenever we called her British. So I've called them English ever since, but then again... she wasn't the nicest person on the planet. *g* In my experience most people don't care. Maybe I'm wrong, though.
