I'm Late for... a Breast Thing: When Real Life Interrupts
A thread especially for those who have to leave us for a while due to Real Life things. Vacations, no internet at home, whatever it is that keeps you away from us. I think it's a nice thing to let the people here know that if anyone is going away for a while to let everyone know, so no one gets worried if they don't see that person post for a while. wow, lots of rambling, hopes it makes sense. Every time I read this thread title, I think it says 'RSL interrupts'. I'm not obsessed. Well, I guess I should start off by saying that I'm leaving on Monday 20th to go on a two week holiday (Spain and then a cruise). Shall be back on the 4th. The holiday comes at a really inconvenient time, considering my House S3 DVD is supposed to arrive on my doorstop on the 21st. Guh. Still, you guys get two whole weeks without me and my mad powerz. I don't think anyone is more terrified than me... Still, not for another week yet... :(

Car broken down so lots of time on busses with no internet. (If they really wanted to make the public transport system more popular, they would provide free internet! should I recommend it??) This place is burgeoning and I'm already behind! ...panting to keep up... At least the bus has air conditioning--hey, august in Indiana with no a/c is no joke! :oops: :oops: :oops: Every time I read this thread title, I think it says 'RSL interrupts'. I know what you mean. I still think Robert Lewis Stevenson when I see RSL (god I'm old) but my latest misreading was pretty good...someone said Why is the hizzy sticky" and I read What is a hizzy stick? and now I just can't stop thinking about what a hizzy stick could be...surely the hizzy is the one place no one would need a stick? I think the heat is getting to me....

I, too, misread "RL" as "RSL." Would spelling out "Real Life" make the thread name too long to fit in the space provided? And speaking of people who are away from the internets, does anyone know what's going on with Housepiglet? She posted that she got back from vacation a couple of weeks ago, but nary an oink since.

I'm off a lot, due to the fact that I'm cleaning out a room that was mainly used to store stuff we didn't have a place for... And soccer camp. Do not expect me on that much.

What exactly made you think you're allowed to have a life outside this site HTR?? ;) Have fun at your soccer camp thing, I remember mine, it was awesome. We went to the place where our national team has it's training facilities and saw a lot of big named players there, it was cool. We even went to see Real Madrid play.

Trust me, I'd rather be here than at camp. I'm NOT having fun. We have this British instructor who constantly tells us that we suck and can't play soccer, I have never been more sore in my life, and I have to get up like 3 hours earlier than I usually do to get there on time. Thank god the British people heree are nice!

There are 11 interns where I'm workacting right now, including me. There are four competent ones, including me. We competent ones have to cover the asses of the seven incompetents, which means that I usually don't get home till past midnight, and that I seem to be developing arthritis from doing all the heavy lifting that the incompetents refuse to do. Thus, I sleep all the time and haven't got enough energy to post every twelve seconds like I usually do. :evil: Stupid, stupid RL.

Oh, I know how that is romanshoes - they get temp CNAs where I'm working now. As a trainee, the last two weekends I worked I did more and was more responsible than the temp CNAs they had training me. Speaking of, the next four days will be hectic for me between my two jobs, so I'll be more out than in.

Ok, well, I'm leaving in about an hour and won't be back until September 4th. So if things start to go wrong, bug one of the mods instead :wink:

I guess about everyone know this by now, but checking out formally now lol We'll be leaving tomorrow morning for Des Moines, where we'll catch a plane to Chicago O'Hare, where we'll have a lay-over for god knows how long and then go on our merry little way to our final destination of Amsterdam. My sister is getting married and of course she had to get married in one of the most expensive air travel times of the year. We'll be back a week from Thursday, flying via Frankfurt and Chicago again. Don't know if I'll have time or access to pop in a few times, will try to do so *addicted much*
