Yet bringing coffee, betting with House, paying for House's lunch, trying to "teach" House something - these are all the regular things that Wilson does, no?
Not only Wilson, but I get your point. :)
House made bets with Cuddy, Chase and Foreman too (and Cameron!).
ETA: Actually I don't remember any bet between House and Wilson, please someone refresh my memory...
House stole/demanded food from others besides Wilson - the reasons why he steals food from Wilson makes all the difference, but this is the Cameron thread, not the ILU thread.
Foreman and Cuddy also tried to teach House some lessons.
Why did House tell Cameron she still wanted to control him, missed going through his mail, and wanted her old job back?
Because she did. Cameron is nosy, it doesn't imply that she "loves" him, just that she still wants to stay around him and know everything that happens in his life. He is a fascinating person to be around, even if you're not madly in love with him. Chase is also around and Foreman will be soon and I'm curious how these two will interact with House.

Actually, neither do I. I know about the $10 everytime someone thanks Wilson for telling them they're dying but that's not really a bet, I thought it was more of a joke. The betting seemed pretty exclusive to him and his team. But I could be forgetting something.
I would love to believe that Cameron is over House and as someone mentioned, had I just watched this ep. and no other, I would've just thought that they were having an innocent friendly interaction BUT knowing everything I do about Cameron and her history of obsessing over House and shoving herself in his life, makes it very difficult for me to believe that her only motive is to just try and be a friend. I have no objections to them being friends, I really don't (even though I don't like Cameron) because while it royally p*ssed me off that she had basically taken Wilson's role in GA, I still prefered that behavior to the shocked, angry, scowling, self-righteous, anal, uptight, b*tchy behavior she's had in the past. My only fear is that she's going to wind up replacing Wilson and, because everytime I try to give Cameron a chance she does something else that p*sses me off, that fear's probably not going to go away.

Screw it.

And do you think everyone else here hasn't seen past episodes and this is the first time we've ever seen Cameron?
I can't speak for LightMyCandle, but I'm responding as I expressed similar sentiments upthread. I think it just has to do with how much individual viewers think that Cameron's changed. I can point to numerous indications that suggest to me she hasn't changed, but others can point to evidence that she *has*. It's a matter of individual perspective and how each person interprets Cameron and her actions - not a suggestion that other viewers haven't seen past episodes. :)

Of course I don't think that, I'm just saying that is the reason I don't trust this "friendly interaction" if you do that's fine, obviously our miles vary. Based on her various actions regarding House over the last three years, I'm having trouble believing that she's totally over him and is fine with just being friendly colleagues.
Edit: What 310Daisy said.
Poeia- 10-26-2007
I don't have a problem with Cameron having a friendly relationship with House. I think Chase has a much more realistic view of his relationship with H -- "even though I don't work for him, he can still make my life miserable" -- while Cameron seems to think that, now that she's an attending, she's on the same professional level as he is.
And Cameron has always been a bit pushy. That's not a personality change. But I do see red (as evidenced by my posts upthread) whenever someone says that anyone who disapproves of anything Cameron does, is giving into a knee-jerk reaction because they're jealous of the idea that House might have a relationship with her.
The only House/Wilson bet I can remember was in Paternity:
Cuddy: Fine. I will let you out of clinic duty for one week, after you pay the $3,200 for the PCR test.
House: Well now, there’s the $100 you owe me, there’s the $100 I won from Cameron, $200 I took off of Foreman, and $600 I got from Wilson. Very bitter.

Oh that's right. The episode which made me wonder just how freely these guys threw their money around. Somehow the idea of entering into bets with my co-workers approaching these kind of digits is just unfathomable. But then again, I'm a miser.
Not strictly a single, event-driven bet, but House & Wilson clearly play poker together which is nothing but one giant bet.
Not that that has anything to do with Cameron. But, um, I am getting kind of attached to her "new" hair color now and definitely like the style better. Very Meredith Grey.
LightMyCandle- 10-26-2007
I think the hair goes well with the scrubs, which are very cute on her, but when she's in her normal attire, I still prefer the darker hair, I really think the blond washes her out.
Lully- 10-26-2007
Totally :off topic: but the bet in Paternity was at first between Foreman and House, the others came in later.
OT? I like the season two Cameron's hair better

Same here! :) Then I just assumed that maybe that's the norm for people who make a lot more money than I do!
On topic: I think JM looked much better with darker hair.
onspeeeed- 10-28-2007
I can't claim to have strong opinions about JMs hair, but I am *much* more comfortable with the idea of her taking on a semi-Wilsonesque role with regards to House--cuz that whole doe-eyed "Wuv me, House! Pweeeaase wuv me!" Made my guts crawl. She'll probably never by my favorite character either way, but at least if things keep going the way they have this season, I won't have to worry every time she's onscreen that she might be about to say or do something totally juvenile in the hopes of getting House to admit his eternal love. *shudders*

Am I the only person who thinks that Cameron's revelation that she misses the "intensity" of working for House is the reason she chose the ER? Immunology is boring, she wants the action of treating dying-right-now people like she's become used to?
310Daisy- 11-08-2007
I don't believe for a minute that it's really the intensity that she misses. She misses House, or TPTB wouldn't have so deliberately brought up her feelings for him. Also, I think it odd that she wouldn't find herself in the situation of making life and death decisions now, working in an ER...
LightMyCandle- 11-08-2007

Sadly, I agree. I don't want to be right about this but I'm having a really hard time swallowing the fact that the woman who IMO, has never cared that much about her job, nor has she ever been passionate about it, suddenly misses the excitement and intensity of it. This is a girl who was willing to give up her job because she couldn't deal with her feelings for her boss. This is the same girl who then refused to come back to said job unless said boss took her on a date. This is the same girl who ignored her job (that she misses so much) and her patients (who she puts first) to go off and have sex with her co-worker. This is the same girl who has always been way more interested in House than the patient and her job. So, while I want to believe her, I just don't.
MaryIsobel- 11-08-2007
Oh, LMC, you make it sound so bad... I don't like that but you sound right. :x
Before I read your post, I was going to say why do her reasons have to be either/or? I think she could miss the excitement and intensity (well, I did till your post reminded me who Cameron really is....) and also miss House. I even think she could miss House without still being in love with him. He's an intelligent, exciting, complicated, difficult person and life around him is rarely boring and humdrum; she may just miss that vitally alive and challenged feeling she has when she lives her day in House's orbit. The intensity and excitement may be linked with and convoluted around House in her mind--the excitement and intensity and House come as a set for her. Or maybe she just still in lurve with him.... :?
