I'm so proud of myself! I turned my best friend into an insane H/W shipper. I spent all of yesterday on the couch with her watching the first two seasons back-to-back. I swear, she HATES Cameron and Cuddy now, and THAT had nothing to do with me!!! I just convinced her on H/W. NOTHING ELSE!!! :P

The farthest I've gotten with my best friend was to turn her off of HAM (thank God) and that's only because she loves Chase and is now Chameron. She indulges me when I talk about hoyay but she doesn't see it. It's so frustrating. :cry:

They even watch reruns and notice instances that slipped past them on first viewing. I've even introduced Mummy to the wonderful world of slash fanfic. Not the really good porn. She'll have to find that herself if she wants to read it. They already think it's funny to make me do an "OH G-d! Get that image out of my head!" take at least once a week. (We're not even in the same region of the country. These people have skills. And I probably have issues, but whatever.) I don't need to further my suffering by having pron preferences become a conversation topic.

But do we know that House and Wilson were friends before PPTH? The time line gets kind of complicated and confusing but I think that they were friends before PPTH. They were already best friends when Wilson first started dating Bonnie, which going by Hector's age was about 17 years ago. I know there's a lot of dispute over Hector's real age but whether he is or isn't really 17, House and Wilson still knew each other at the time of Bonnie.

Re-watched a bunch of mid-season to end-of-season eps tonight on my TiVo. I know this is another case (like my fondness for Cam/Wilson) where I am largely in the minority, but I really liked the Tritter arc. Purely because of the range of emotion HL and RSL got to display so wonderfully. And their interaction as House and Wilson was, while not quite homoerotic like the Odd Couple arc, totally and completely (uhealthily) demonstrative of the level to which the characters are utterly enmeshed with one another. Which I think is hot. YMMV. In my own personal fanon, House and Wilson met while Wilson was doing his fellowship at some hospital where House was already a doctor. I think that makes the most sense from what we know in canon. I know there's a lot of debate over how long House has worked at PPTH, and I do get the vague impression that Wilson's worked at that particular hospital longer than House has, but who knows? I definitely think it's possible for them to have been friends and for House to have bounced ideas off Wilson for many years even if/while they were working in different places.

Neither of us were really watching: I was brushing the dog, who has an infinite supply of hair, and my hubby was reading some papers. All of a sudden, hubby yells, "Oh My God!" I'm all, "What? What?". I fling the brush away and jump up, thinking something's caught on fire or there's another type of household disaster. He's all, "Wilson just asked House out on a date! He's gay for House!" "Yes, dear." :wink:

I sat there, I'm all: "yes, yes they are," putting on my poker face. I rang my best friend afterwards and we were just LOLing about it for two hours.

So, who of are exclusive, OTP H/W shippers? Umm, I am...not. I used to be. But lately I've been digging any ship with Wilson, an unfortunate side effect of being a teenager and easily falling in lust with RSL. So at this point I ship Cameron/Wilson, Cuddy/Wilson, Chase/Wilson, and House/Wilson, but to be fair, I really only like fics where those pairings are the direct result of repressed love for House. In a VERY twisted way, I am exclusively a H/W shipper. All the fics I read that are Cu/Ch/Cam and Wilson are always about how all the characters involved would rather be sleeping with House than each other.

So, who of are exclusive, OTP H/W shippers? *raises hand* In the show, I'm an exclusive H/W shipper, in fanfiction I also read W/Ch, but the majority of the fic I read by far is H/W as well.

So, who of are exclusive, OTP H/W shippers? I am an exclusive H/W shipper. Nothing but H/W fanfics. My husband gets tired of my endless enthusiasm for the boys.
