I agree hry! Oh by the way - you guys rock! You're all so funny. :D

Lully- 10-16-2007

Agreed, hry. Wilson maybe doesn't try the adult approach often because his patience and sanity are vanishing. He can't be a good therapist if he is the one being driving crazy by House

As I see it, sometimes it's not only House who could need a Wilson to sort things out loud, but Wilson himself. But Wilson haven't got anyone like that, so I think his "psycho babble" is sometimes for himself, just as much or perhaps more than it is for House. Whether he knows it or not. Haven't you seen his pensieve/troubled looks when House sometimes turn on him with his own advice/psycho babble? ETA - like in Need to Know, on the roof, when Wilson confronts him about Stacy: "That kind of psycho-crap help get your patients through the long nights? Or is it just for you?<...>" So, I think the "psycho-crap" helps Wilson as well. And I think House knows it too. Besides: I think Wilson knows just when he needs to talk to House "as an adult", and also when it's more effective to just play the amateur shrink role. Also, it's not like House doesn't go psychoanalyzing him from time to time, too (like about Grace, and about Wilson's supposed cheating on Julie). I think House's able to give as good as he gets, when/if it really annoys him that much (whether he actually means to help Wilson at those times - or if it's JUST for the annoyance factor he does it - is not for me to say! Thoughts on this?).

Lulu, I so very much agree with this. Wilson analyses House to help himself understand House better, and understand himself, as well. He can't talk to House about things that bother him, emotional processes that he goes through, because he knows House would eat him alive (and not in that good slashy way). But House is his closest friend and he still feels the need to discuss his life with him, so he camouflages it as psychobabble. So screwed up. I love it. love doesn't have to mean TEH HAWT man sex Sheep me darlin', this is the H/W shipper thread, everything here means TEH HAWT MAN SECKS, and strangely enough, love is no exception ;)

I've never thought about it this way, but sometimes it does seem Wilson is projecting his own problems into House. So when he's lecturing House he's actually venting and House's acceptance is a twisted form of help - I love it! because he knows House would eat him alive (and not in that good slashy way). Why can't be both?

While not being depressed would probably make him more receptive to a possible relationship (be it short-term with Honey or long-term with a six foot tall oncologist), it is not going to turn his attitudes regarding sex back into those of a 20-year-old. I have to admit that the words that caught my attention here were six foot tall oncologist. Is Wilson/RSL really six foot? Because I've always thought Wilson looks several inches shorter than House, and I've always thought HL was about six two (I stand to be corrected). That's assuming of course that Poeia wasn't talking about any other six foot oncologist

He can't talk to House about things that bother him, emotional processes that he goes through, because he knows House would eat him alive I agree. Wilson is always extremely reluctant to talk about his own problems, with one or two exceptions, and he always focuses on House's. I think that House knows why and I do think that he secretly needs/wants the psycho-babble (not all the time mind you but sometimes) otherwise he wouldn't go to Wilson so often for advice or to tell him what's going on in his life.

Hibernia- 10-16-2007

Omar Epps 5' 10 1/2" Jesse Spencer 5' 10 1/2" OE en JS are exactly the same height? That's weird, I'd have bet anything to Omar being larger.

Lully- 10-16-2007

Interesting, because it always seem to me that JS is a little shorter than OE and that OE is as tall as RSL. Maybe it's a camera's trick.

Jouse- 10-16-2007

That's weird, I'd have bet anything to Omar being larger. That might be true, however I'm affraid IMDB don't supply that information  TOPIC!! I want House and Wilson to have sex. now.

hwshipper- 10-16-2007

Thanks for the height info, Poeia! In order to verify I think we need House & Wilson to stand very close together indeed.

Hibernia- 10-16-2007

Lully- 10-16-2007

That might be true, however I'm affraid IMDB don't supply that information *burst into laughter* And isn't a pity? Why is it OT, Hib? Oh right, we are talking about Foreman, in the ILU thread. Can't be more OT than that!

RNwannabe- 10-16-2007

In order to verify I think we need House & Wilson to stand very close together indeed. I have always found that when people are lying down, height is pretty irrelevant. I guess we would have to go by hot up-against-the-wall smex. Yes....very close together, indeed!!
