That Poconos scene is still so...wonderfully slashy. It's not even subtext, that slipped right into text. I have a feeling (though I don't entirely remember) that that was also the scene that converted me to House/Wilson shipperdom.
For those who don't know the story of 'How 407 Came to Love House' - during the hiatus after Words and Deeds, I decided to watch the Pilot of House, having never seen the show before. I loved it so much that I decided I had to watch the next episode. This quickly turned into The Greatest House Binge Ever. I basically watched every single episode up to WAD, one after the other. It took me a while - I was at school at the time. I vaguely remember trying to sit through lessons, when really all I was thinking about was getting back home and watching more House. It truly is a love story for the ages.
This is on topic, I swear - the point I'm trying to make is that because I watched each episode one after the other, I hadn't really had any time to digest anything properly. I had no real ship. After I'd seen all the episodes up to WAD, I think I had to wait a week until OD,OR. During that week, I took a trip to YouTube. Watching that Poconos scene and reading the comments was what brought me to House/Wilson (I think I had been slipping between House/Cam and House/Cuddy beforehand). And I've never looked back.
Ouch, that was rambly. Well, that concludes storytime for today, kiddies.
Anyway, the Poconos scene is seriously wonderful. Just the awkwardness between House and Wilson, as they both realise what just happened. To me, that scene will always be known as 'That time House asked Wilson on a date and Wilson got kinda freaked out but you totally know he secretly wanted to go and Act Your Age backs this up completely'.

Exactly! I got so caught up in the slashy goodness that was Act Your Age through Resignation that I sometimes forget that there were some very hoyaytastic moments earlier in the season.
Guh. Now I need to watch that scene again.
