And we are so much more annoyed by this than House himself. I wonder why... Maybe because House sees the psycho-babble as a proof that Wilson cares about him (as there aren't enough proofs already...). About the hotel thing, House does rag him about it. Every time they fight he throws two things in his face: Grace and the hotel situation. Maybe he didn't do it this season yet, but we are just in the beginning. The psycho-babble can be seen like that, I suppose. I'd get a little worried if it dropped suddenly, I think. I meant just chew him out until he left. Or at least offer up his couch .

I wonder what House would do/think if Wilson's pyscho-babbling just altogether stopped?

Tenna- 10-15-2007

I bet he'd be scared Wilson was gonna leave him. It really does show he cares and House knows that.

Jouse- 10-15-2007

That's pretty obvious, he'll do everything imaginable to find out why.

LightMyCandle- 10-15-2007

Hee, yeah. I'd love to see that because the psycho-babbling does get tiring and House would freak out.

standing_bear- 10-15-2007

...and House freaking out could lead to an emotional confrontation could lead to.. well, other things... :P *thinks SaphronGirl's awesome scene*

Hail the Random- 10-15-2007

Yes. ...Other things. :D

LightMyCandle- 10-15-2007

Mmmm, I like other things. They should explore other things. :P

Hail the Random- 10-15-2007

They should explore other things very much in the 5th and 7th episode. Did I tell you my idea about the 7th episodes? S1 Ep 7-Fidelity: Flirty banter S2 Ep 7-Hunting: Gay patient thinking H/W were 'together' S3 Ep 7- Son of a Coma Guy : Need I say more? Road trip, 'moments of truth', "Maybe I don't want to push this until it breaks", I could go on! ETA: Just realized, it gets bigger and bigger with each coming season. Does that mean that 4.07(yes, that's why I thought of it) will bee "the ONE"? :D

That is an amazing pattern that I never noticed...buttsecks is definitley a a logical follow up. Do we know who is writing the episode? HtR, you remind me a lot of a friend of mine...you've never gone by the nickname "Stalker Child", have you? (bet you don't get asked that everyday)

Hail the Random- 10-15-2007

I get called a stalker every day at school. Oh, wanna hear something funny? I was trying to explain to my friend about Hoyay, so I was explaining and basically told her it meant same-sex couples and she went "Oh, Like House and Wilson?" I laughed way too much.

I think House would be mortified if Wilson stopped his psychobabble - love doesn't have to mean TEH HAWT man sex. I always think House secretly loves the fact that Wilson spends time out of every day berating him and annoying him.

Okay, not to be crabby, but what exactly would you folks suggest Wilson do? I don't disagree, the nagging is annoying at times. But... *It works more than anyone else's advice *House is apparently okay with this aspect of Wilson or wouldn't have kept him about for two decades. I mean, really. The other end of the spectrum is to be a fairweather friend and watch him self-destruct even faster.

The other end of the spectrum is to be a fairweather friend and watch him self-destruct even faster. I think Wilson did it right in Insensitive. He talked to House as an adult and asked him if he thought he was the right person to be making certain decision and if his choice of nerves to biopsy was really in the patient's best interest. He then let House think about those issues. Not only was it less annoying than the "You know what's wrong with you..." speeches, it was much more effective. House came out of Wilson's office almost immediately after that and told the fellows to biopsy a safer nerve.

I'd definitely agree with that. My point is more that Wilson is in a tough situation being close friends with an addict, risk-taker... sometimes in that situation patience wears thin, and I think expecting a therapist level of detached cool-headedness from Wilson is unreasonable.
