Yes, those four episodes together are a fabulous treat to watch. It was like the shorter, more subtle but ultimately more fun arc.

We should have HoYay ratings for each episode. Like, "House vs. God" is a seven or so, "All In" is probably an eight, "Words and Deeds" might be a six. OMG!!!! I love it!!! What is the scale range and should there be a thread called Hoyayometer or Season 4 Episode Hoyometer. Folks could rate the episode for 6 days and then on the 7th day when the next episode airs we could post the final rating for the previous epsiode. Also in the thread people could give their specific reasons for giving it a high or low hoyometer rating.

That idea definitely has my vote. :D

I rate the new episode an eight. Cute interactions, though insignificant on a larger scale. A lot of screen time for Robert Sean Leonard. Guess the writers finally realized how important he is. No House/ Cuddy. I thought there'd be something in there, the way the end of season three was going.

A little off topic, but in an old La Femme Nikita board someone got the bright idea to recap entire episodes using as many emoticons as possible. It was truly hilarious and some folks got amazingly inspired. For those who didn't watch LFN, it was an incredibly stylish, smart but very, very dark show. To see it done in emoticons was a real crack up! I'll see if it still exists...it was at least five years ago. I consider House to be more of a dramedy with serious intelligence, wit, excellent writing and as many ethical and moral dilemmas as LFN did. (Until Season 4. Then it turned into nothing more than Moose and Squirrel and got stupid.) Hmm, on topic? I haven't seen all of Alone yet (I missed the first half) but I understand there was some great H/W stuff there...In the second half I only really remember the "House! You stole a patient!" bit. Isn't it lovely that both House/Wilson and Laurie/Leonard have such amazing chemistry and are willing to play it to the hilt?!

One of the things that I love most about their relationship is that Wilson seems always more worried about House, the human being than House, the doctor He recognizes that being a doctor is the most important thing in House's life, and do whatever it needs to make sure House can do his job. I love him because of that, among other things of course! :wink:

I love that Wilson can love someone like House. That in and of itself is amazing. I just want to know why Wilson loves House so much. I really wish they're give us some background on those two.

I have a question for my fellow fervent shippers. Do you ever get depressed, feeling H/W will never be canon? Feeling TPTB are amused by us at best, and not planning on acting on this ship's potential onscreen, occasional nods our way aside? I'm musing these annoying thoughts since the season's premiere, and it's totally eating into my Joy Of House. I can't even read H/W pr0n :P Are you all already convinced that they are at it for years and we might never see it on screen, or otherwise comfortable with this ship being active only in FF and dreamland? If some of you still have canon hope, please let me know what keeps you going.

Jouse, one of my rules of life (not just the part spent talking to people in or watching people on boxes) is to expect the absolute worst at all times. That way, when something slightly less than disastrous happens it's a pleasant surprise. It's one of the rules my daddy taught me. He's a wise man who is rarely disappointed with the outcome of events because his version is always so much worse. The negative of this is that I'm not terribly fun to be around most of the time. Every suggestion is met with a note of how it would cost a lot of money, be boring, go to late, interfere with the housework I need to do, probably lead to my untimely demise... So-do I get depressed that House and Wilson will never be canon? Of course not. My worst case scenarios are much more depressing than something that has no chance of happening not happening.

:shock: But.. my shipping is fueled by hope. As love always is :(

I've been starting to worry about that recently too. Which is really annoying considering no fandom of mine had ever pandered to its slasher audience like this before, meaning: I'd hoped. Dear God, I'd hoped. Now I'm beginning to doubt because while it may be more obvious about its HoYay it doesn't mean anything. Doesn't mean that this is the show that will make slashy dreams come true. Just that it encourages those dreams maybe. 'House' has ruined me for other slash. Before I was happy with a shared glance, moment, whatever, between my boys, but after House and Wilson...Poconos, unconditional love, tranny nurses, what have you, and all in one season! I'm a spoilt little slasher.
