I just never see any of them having an attraction to other men. Me, neither, and not that there is anything wrong with that. I just have never seen them, especially House, as anything other hetersexual.

House followed Wilson around, noticing the large unopened envelope he carried around. Later, House bailed Wilson out of jail - a lot of investment in a stranger. In Not Cancer, Lucas tells us that House really wants him to spy on Wilson to find out if he's been pining for House.

In Not Cancer, Lucas tells us that House really wants him to spy on Wilson to find out if he's been pining for House. It's a question of writing the character, really. And leaving it open enough to viewers. In first seasons, I found a sexual relationship between the two of us believable, if you chose to see it that way. A kind of HWshipper ongoing relationship in the background, with girls around. House is certainly comfortable with the idea of having sex with men, even if he doesn't seem to act on it. At least, he speaks openly about it (even if it is only to annoy Wilson) and does not seem bothered by people thinking he may be gay (I think of Hunting and The Down Low, mainly). Wilson, on the other hand, is highly embarassed by it (same epis). There is attraction between the two of them, but the nature of this attraction remains unsaid. It was probably a big part of the appeal of the show, in the beginning, that you could see whatever you wanted between these two. Due to the hour of airing, and the network, it will never be resolved, IMO. And these past years they decided to turn House to overtly (and exclusively) heterosexual, while giving to the fans less subtle quotes about Wilson (you were thinking of Wilson while we're having sex.....just my secret and very unconscious desire to get Wilson into my bedroom ; those made me roll my eyes). I guess House is attracted to Cuddy and Wilson, differently, and would not act on an eventual desire for Wilson for fear he could lose him. In the end, I would like the serie to end with those OT3, but I don't think TPTB will give me this. :balloon: ETA to correct awful spelling!

House has a determinedly unconventional friendship with Wilson and a decidedly unconventional romantic relationship with Cuddy. That is how he rolls; the more we try to stuff him into conventional categories, the more he defies these boundaries by his actions.

No doubt he finds House fascinating and vice versa but I don't see sexual attraction This is the House/Wilson shipper thread so it is kind of surprising that so many on this thread agree that they are completely heterosexual. I mean, that's fine, everyone is free to interpret their relationship however they like and I'm not saying you shouldn't hang around the H/W shipper thread if you disagree with the possiblity of H/W ship. I don't want to ruffle any feathers or be disrespectful of posters who see the H/W relationship different than me bc my view is only my view. But what is this thread for if there is another one that is specifically for ship talk. I think that is generally what takes place on the H/C one, too.

I guess I misunderstood the meaning of "The Shipper Forum" and the "House/Wilson ship." Being a slash fanfiction writer and reader, I just assumed 'House/Wilson ship' means 'H/W romantic or sexual relationship' and 'House and Wilson' means friendship. Sorry, I shouldn't have assumed that slash is always indicated by the slash symbol! And clearly I don't know what 'shipper' means in reference to fans. I guess I actually belong on the HoYay thread - think that is also a long-dead thread but perhaps deserves to be revived. I don't think it's disrespectful to view their relationship in any way that you like, I have no problem with it, just was curious about why anyone would read this thread if not a H/W romantic relationshipper, but as it turns out, I'm the one who's in the wrong thread!

In my opinion, it's fine to want to discuss House-Wilson friendship on this thread -- as Namaste pointed out, it's in the first post in the forum -- but to insist over multiple posts that you see them as only attracted to women is ... annoying. I personally think some of the 'ships in this fandom are a ridiculous idea that could never work. But no one "insulted" the idea of House/Wilson the way you describe, some people merely mentioned that they don't interpret what we've been shown on the show as House and Wilson being sexually attracted to each other. To me this is simply a discussion of the evidence for or against House and Wilson being bi-, hetero- or homosexual, and why not exchange different point of views? ETA: And I'm pretty sure I've seen similar pro and con discussions in the other shipper threads.

I've always been a bit confused about this thread vs. HoYay (especially as all the other ship threads about sex are in this section and HoYay is in general gabbery.) But the House/Wilson friendship is one of the most important ships on the show. Even the most ardent HoYayer isn't going to deny that they are friends. This is the only place for people who think House/Wilson is purely platonic to discuss that. Those who think their friendship is just one part of a multi-faceted, flexible, well-rounded, in-depth relationship :wink: can post both here and in the HoYay thread.

Repeated statements that House and Wilson are straight, straight, straight denies that there could be a sexual or romantic relationship between the two, so yes, I do see it as insulting. Coming here to discuss House and Wilson's friendship is awesome. Coming here to say "I see them as straight" doesn't add anything to discussion, and shuts down those who do see sexual attraction between them. If similar shut-downs have been made on other 'shipper forums, then I'm sorry to hear it. This is my favorite ship, so it's where I spend my time. Poeia - HoYay is for general HoYaying, including any main characters, POTWs, etc. Includes House/Chase, Thirteen/Cuddy, etc. Doesn't have to be about relationships, either. There's a HetYay thread too, if you want to squee about any and all heterosexuality. PS. Edited my earlier post to use less inflammatory language.
