Thanks Poeia! I love how Wilson's big gay comment about Chase's hotness just rolls right off House like water off a duck's back. He doesn't even blink. I wouldn't be surprised if they've discussed Chase's hotness before. I seem to recall some comments from House about Chase's hair, or lips, or both. In any other television program, I'd probably find all these gay jokes annoying, but on House, I just see them as clues pointing towards a big gay storyline someday. It's looking more and more as if they'll eventually out Wilson.

Ah, but we've never seen Wilson act like an idiot around Chase.

Poeia- 11-20-2007

And I thought House reacted. He looked thoughtful -- as if he were thinking about whether Foreman might be gay. (And I do love that they don't make jokes about the pretty man being gay on this show.) Back on topic, I thought that scene was one of the least slashy I've ever seen. It really came off as House and Wilson, two heterosexual men, as far as I could see.

piepeloe- 11-20-2007

Yeah me too. It gave me warm fuzzy feelings because they were obviously Best Friends (feel the capital letters), but I didn't get the feeling they were maybe flirting or that they wanted to be together. I'm not sure about Wilson. Maybe it's because I really want that BGW story but that remark about being able to see through CIA doc's dress could just have been a joke to rile up House. But indeed, H&W instead of H/W. Bros before Hoes.

Ah, but we've never seen Wilson act like an idiot around Chase. But that's because Wilson and Chase have only spoken to each other once in 3 plus years. The rest of the time Wilson is in the hallway or his office squeeing up a storm. ETA, If you really wanted to take Wilson's idea serious (and I don't because I think the last person on this show who understands how being attracted to someone works is Wilson), then no one on this show finds anyone else attractive. None of them have been shown to be incapable of spotting how what someone else is saying is a stupid idea. In fact that's what the spend the majority of their time doing with each other Medically and otherwise. Until this episode where House acccepts Wilson theory and his advice on how to fire and then ask out a woman. *How'd that work for ya'*

No posts about the "House knows Wilson's blood type" thing yet, guys? We are slipping! *g* The most interesting part of that, to me, was that House seemed almost embarrassed that he let on that he knew this - like he wanted to make his usual neediness joke and it just slipped out. Usually, if he knows something personal about someone (Cuddy's menstrual cycle, for example, or all the stuff he knows about Wilson in general) he tends to mostly enjoy letting them know he knows. But not here. Lots of stuff to speculate about, there.

Did you see the Wilson/House scene when they were playing knock-hockey in "You Don't Want to Know" episode? An ode to the bloopers, if you get my drift...

Maybe he checks him for STDs every so often, maybe he only checked him after Grace (I would easily buy that) or maybe something happened a long time ago and House thought he was sick so he checked him then. Oh, and three cheers for the return of the foosball table and the scene cut while they were still together. Normally, a scene with them ends because one of them leaves, not this time. :P

Maybe House checked Wilson's medical records after he told him about LLB, hoping to find a family history of something (a mental illness?) that would explain why it was so delicate a subject that Wilson never told him about it before.

idonmatrix- 11-21-2007

Didn't House go a little ballistic in their first scene in Resignation when Wilson yawned. Maybe he checked then. But will someone please tell me how House even got hold of Wilson's blood.

He didn't have to. Wilson's blood type would be in his medical record. As a hospital employee, he would be required to have periodic physicals. And we all know that House has no problem stealing other people's medical files.

I think that House did know Wilson's blood type when Wilson crash from the cliff when they are children. To find out a blood type of someone has need from blood tranfusion.

Lully- 11-21-2007

Sorry if I'm being dense here, but why is so extraordinary that House knows Wilson's blood type? They are doctors, they work in a hospital. I can't believe that there's no indication of blood type in their medical records, it's a very simple exam. In Brazil, where health system sucks, by the way, every person with a driver's license has the blood type printed on it. I know my blood type since I was a little kid, I was -*test*-('")ed at school. So, is it strange that House knows or that he remembers it?

LightMyCandle- 11-21-2007

I don't think it's strange that he knows Wilson's blood type, I would be shocked if he didn't know it actually, just as regardless of what Wilson said in Resignation, I firmly believed (and still do) that House knows Wilson's medical history. What was a little off to me was how House tried to deny it, he's normally more than happy to point out that he knows something about Wilson, or Cuddy or anyone else. This time he wasn't, YMMV. Also, I rewatched the scene (only a few times) and I love the way House looks at Wilson and says "because there's nothing wrong with me" after Wilson tells him his biopsies were clean. It just seemed cute to me, like he was trying to reassure Wilson, again YMMV. I'm sure I read way too much into this stuff.

Silja- 11-21-2007

He stole and read Wilson's file in Histories (the 'friend translates as limping twerp in Swedish' scene) but it's not clear if it's a medical file or something else.
