I agree with Filex. House meets the definition of needy in the H/W pair and it also fits Wilson comeback to House "lucky for you" in HvG. It doesn't diminish their attachment to each other. It just suggest that House's neediness is an important emotional factor in their mutual attachment to each other.

Just to say I'm dismayed to have missed posting in page 69 of this thread, nobody else seems to have picked up the opportunity for some appropriately smutty remarks! Er, sorry for lowering the tone. I now return you to your previous discussion about neediness.

Of the people we're referencing re. Wilson I only see one fitting the bill, House. I just think it's interesting that House is the only male out of all of Wilson's needy people. Three wives, sorry but Bonnie did come off as kind of needy to me not in an obvious way more in a ditzy, probably doesn't do so great on her own way, and Grace. Mentally, Grace might not have felt needy but she had physical needs (that sounds so wrong, I'm referring to her cancer NOT sex). So how does he fall into these relationships with all women and one guy? Why is his relationship with House the only one that sticks? Are there just not that many needy guys out there?

Let me pop in to laugh wildly at the 69 and be with hwshipper in the disappointment that nobody made any smutty remarks. I can't believe I missed that. *cough* Anywho, on the neediness thing... ITA with idonmatrix and Filex.

Oh, I don't know, Shipper. I can think of some pretty smutty positions that look sort of like a 70! And Grace was pretty needy. She couldn't even buy her own groceries or get her own ride home, for crisakes! Although I don't in any way dispute House's neediness. He needs a whipping boy, an impartial ear to bounce ideas off of, a partner in crime (canon, now!), an errand boy, a walking wallet, a source of entertainment and a f**k-buddy. Wilson to the rescue!!

MaryIsobel wrote: don't know about Debbie because I merged her with Oncology Nurse in my head but the nurse was needy: Wilson was comforting her because she was new to oncology and was having a hard time with it. Ok, I was talking about the other nurse, the one Wilson took to lunch in Fidelity... I guess you merged actually three characters :D And I agree with filex, just because Wilson was being nice with someone who was having a hard time adjusting to such a hard field like Oncology, doesn't mean that they are needy - Wilson is their boss, he is responsable for the whole department. But the nurse in FtC was talking about her personal problems, so I guess she was demanding some personal attention. But he was clearly bored, so I believe this was just a situation he couldn't escape. He is a nice person and other people take advantage from this. I think Grace fits the first definition of needy - she was in a situation in which she needed help from others. House, OTOH, is demanding and wants excessive attention. He likes to have all Wilson's attention on him. But I think Wilson also likes to give all his attention to House. So they are perfect for each other

Re the ring tone, since Wilson prescribes House's Vicodin his personalized ring tone on House's phone should be "Dr. Feelgood". Oh my God, you can't really think that House listens to CHER?!!

Hail the Random- 11-07-2007

I have this image of House's "Wilson" ringtone being Belive by Cher. Do you believe in life after love? I can feel something inside me say I really don't think you're strong enough, no!

hwshipper- 11-08-2007

Oh, I don't know, Shipper. I can think of some pretty smutty positions that look sort of like a 70! Ah is that where the inspiration for Wilson's latest letter in the Writing to House & Co thread came from?

RNwannabe- 11-08-2007

Hee. Who could have an "official" position?

Oh, I don't know, Shipper. I can think of some pretty smutty positions that look sort of like a 70! Ah is that where the inspiration for Wilson's latest letter in the Writing to House & Co thread came from? Heh, no, actually. Sodomy is supposedly a sin in one of the testements (I can't be assed to look it up), so I figured if Wilson was God...

MaryIsobel- 11-08-2007

Ok, I was talking about the other nurse, the one Wilson took to lunch in Fidelity... I guess you merged actually three characters I do seem to have a talent for that, don't I? But I still see the nurse with personal problems as being needy and whether he was bored or not, he just couldn't not respond to the neediness.

From the Hoyay thread: Wexual (Wilson-sexual) About half the staff of PPTH is Wexual, wouldn't you say? OK, OK, on topic: If Wilson was God, he would be able to control House. (Ho HO! He can do that sometimes!)

idonmatrix- 11-09-2007

Here's the first stanza of Marvin's Gaye's Sexual Healing replaced with Wexual: Ooh, now let's get down tonight Baby I'm hot just like an oven I need some lovin' And baby, I can't hold it much longer It's getting stronger and stronger And when I get that feeling I want Wexual Healing Wexual Healing, oh baby Makes me feel so fine Helps to relieve my mind Wexual Healing baby, is good for me Wexual Healing is something that's good for me Th rest of the lyrics can be found here

Thanks to you, idon, I have the image of House singing this outside Wilson's office at the top of his lungs. *cracks up*
