Ok, HtR... that is weird  Just... what?
I never dream about H/W. It sucks. I'm sure I'd get over my insomnia if I had more dreams involving them.

I agree that Huose and Wilson will not become canon for reasons that 407 has already stated. But on the off chance it does the Chandler/Monical thing must play out complete with Cameron shouting "My Eyes!"
I think I must be the only person who thinks seasons 2&3 are more slashy than S1.
I think that each season is slashier than the previous. In S1 it was obvious they were buddies but I didn't see the hoyay, in S2 it was so there that it hurt. In S3 it was not only clear that they were very important to each other but the hoyay threatened to make me explode. I prefer their S3 relationship to the others. If this pattern continues then next year, look out.

No, you're not. Season one was more fun (until Volgler at least) but seasons 2&3 were more slashy.
The odd couple arc and the Tritter arc showed how much they were important to each other. Ok... The Tritter arc proved how much House is important to Wilson, but I like to think it's mutual :)
Hail the Random- 08-18-2007
S2 was the slashiest because of the Wilson moving in bit, I think.
JenButterfly- 08-18-2007
I'm right there with you on that one HtR. That's when a lot of them hit the 'net.

Okay, glad I'm not the only one who sees the increasing slashiness in the show. 8)

I think I prefer the S3 relationship too (although nothing really beats the Odd Couple arc).

One thing the Tritter arc really showed me was how much Wilson truly is in love with House (like I said, I'm not sure if the writers will really go there, but that is totally how it appears onscreen). Being willing to sacrifice himself for House, even go to prison for House, worrying & caring for House while all the time putting up with House's abuse, etc, that really helped show the intensity of Wilson's feelings for House.

I think that if House and Wilson come out on the show, any awkwardness that occurs will most likely be the fault of the writers. I'm cynical enough to think that FOX would want to turn it into a SHOCK! and AWE! episode.
I realize that, but by staying where they're at I mean I'd like it if it stayed an 'in the closet say cute things to each other now and then' thing.
Call me boring and accuse me of having no sense of humor, but I'd rather see them handle it like mature adults. (I know that's hard for House )
I sat through many years of watching gay characters be the comic relief when they were 'allowed' to appear on network television. I'm done with it. I have no need for cutesy stuff.
I don't believe in censoring people and I think everyone should be able to state their own opinions. But I'd be remiss if I didn't come out and say that it pains me to see being 'in the closet' as being equated with 'cute'. I know that' not necessarily how it was meant. But we've got a large variety of people on these boards: gay, straight, bi, questioning. Some maybe out and proud but others may still be struggling. So I think that care needs to be taken in how we word things. What may seem a casual remark to one person, can seem callous to another.

Exactly what I'm afraid of.

Their outing had two of my fave Friends moments ever: when Joey finds out(IN LONDON!!) and the whole episode where the others find out.
WORD to H/W hiding their relationship like Chandler & Monica - though <nitpick> they got together in London but Joey didn't find out until a few episodes later </end nitpick>. Which is worth mentioning specifically on this thread, because Chandler had gone away for a weekend with Monica and Joey thought he'd gone on a gay cruise :D
I'm surprised nobody's mentioned Chandler & Joey & HoYay?... I always remember laughing hysterically in the flashback ep where we see how they met, & Joey says to Chandler, 'And I'm totally cool with the whole gay thing.'

That has nothing to do with what I said, read the 'IN LONDON' again in context of Joey finding out ;)

My thoughts exactly. Gay characters don't exist to entertain the het audience. They are, much more than het characters, a symbol, a representation of the queer status in society. I'm wishing for House/Wilson the same things I'm wishing for all us queers.

Plus, it'll be interesting to see what the other characters would think about it.

Sorry galaxygirl, posted that far too early this morning when rather bleary eyed!

I just wanted to jump in and say that I'm all a-giggle about the House/Wilson and Chandler/Joey comments going on. My two favorite pairings. Ah, slashy love.
More on topic: It would be fascinating to see how the other characters would handle it if House and Wilson came out together or, even better, were caught with each other (someone mentioned the "My eyes!"). A part of me thinks that Cuddy wouldn't be shocked, at all. Another hopes that she'd want to join in on the fun. :)

Let's not forget that Chandler has 'gay hair'
I'm such a 'Friends' geek.
