Screencap "You won't even remember your name by the time I get through with you." <. . .> I am ready and waiting for some damned good HoYay this season. I'm also off in search of some good pr0n... Damn sauty, that screencap practically is pr0n. *sigh* *flails in the general direction of September* This thread is so awesome I can't even quote all of it so I'll just make up a big batch of HoYay-tinis and HoYay tartes (brunch!) and put 'em over here for y'all. ITA w/Jouse's reasons for Wilson to make the first "move" (and the aforementioned fact that honestly, who's going to complain OMG JUST DO EACH OTHER). But really, I can't even fathom what a "move" would constitute with those two, in canon (intimacy-wise I mean—I've got all kinds of ideas on the actual moves they can put on each other). And that's saying something, considering how much H/W fic I read. Would they play it as him "snapping"? Or just be all Torchwood ;) about it. Or would it just be awesomely hot, intimate, awkward, sweet and snarky like they usually are. Only more hot. I hope it wouldn't be some kind of horrible deathbed confession like House gave to Stacy before the operation (though HL did that well and it made sense for those two), like if Wilson gets that cancer-scare as per the pattern of the show. Although I'd love to see the snark between those two about all the times House smoked in front of the oncologist. One of my favorite things about Wilson is that he doesn't have to do a big crying, yelling scene to come across. He's the only one we haven't seen cry or break down really (Chase only teetered on weepy in H-W I guess, though). HL plays broken-down from pain insanely well, and anger, but I don't want to see him goopy either. I like that those two already have that 24/7 intimacy that young married couples have, whether they're folding socks and stealing food or talking about addiction. I really don't want them taking their relationship to another level to be all dramatic in the term of the FOX announcer. I dunno, my brain is fried from speculating on H/W for S4. Does Wilson smoke after sex? (House: I don't know. Wilson, have you ever looked? Wilson: Shut up House. That is so old.) Is it wrong that I think that it would be a little hot if House let Wilson take a puff of his cigar? And then Wilson coughed and turned green and gave House a lecture about smoking? Oh wait, that last bit isn't hot. *looks at Sauty's screencap again* *head explodes*

Jouse- 08-18-2007

Sans your making me LOL all over  Oh god, House and Wilson laying in bed, post shag, House lighting up, the smoke curls up around the room. Wilson giving him a dirty look, but instead of lecturing and/or complaining, he takes a drag. Pure love. My eyes are all fogged up again.

You know, what if they never showed the first move? Just kind of had this H/W scene that started off completely normal and then all of a sudden there's a kiss but it's nothing new, H&W act like it's the most normal thing in the world. In 'That 70s Show' (don't mock, it was funny in the beginning) there was this couple with a huge fanbase, not really a will they/won't they thing but close. The finale of the 4th season, they're not together and she's pining after some other guy. The premiere of the fifth season, the rest of the gang leaves the couple alone and they start to make out! Turns out they've been going at it the entire summer. A couple of episodes later the writers ruined it by showing how they got together, but I loved it. Wouldn't something like that be great? We're obviously not shown everything, so why not this? It would be such a huge and delightful shock (the Fox announcer would be pleased) and it leaves the actual event open to fanfiction writers instead of professional writers who might screw things up ;) I think I just like the image of House getting ready in the morning in his apartment, talking to Wilson offscreen, then we see Wilson in the kitchen and OMG! he's not entirely dressed yet either! And OMG!!! House just walked into the kitchen and they kissed and then they carried on their conversation like it was no big deal while it freaking IS! ...If that makes any sense.

Just kind of had this H/W scene that started off completely normal and then all of a sudden there's a kiss but it's nothing new, H&W act like it's the most normal thing in the world. OMG ITA with this and would utterly die happy if this happened! It would vindicate my theory that the first move happened YEARS ago and has been going on ever since, just off-screen. Y'know, in all those bits that fanfic writers are kind enough to fill in for us.

407- 08-18-2007

Oh Jackie/Hyde. Serious OTP right there. Anyway, that would just be insanely awesome. Beginning of S5, anyone? Then maybe they can get outed to everyone episode 5...

Jouse- 08-18-2007

I see what you both mean and I agree, but---but-- nooooo!!! The first kiss, the doubts, the talks with Cuddy and Stacey and the ducklings, the whole first time, newness experience - I WANT THAT!!! I want to see House's shocked face when Wilson kisses him, and Wilson's equally shocked expression when he realises what he'd done. You both make excellent arguments, but I'll feel crazily deprived :(

Lully- 08-18-2007

Honestly I don't care how it will (because it WILL) happen. Wilson can make the first move, House can surprise Wilson with a sudden kiss, we can find out that they're together since before season one. Whatever they choose to show I'll be happy - I just want then together at the end! I know, I sound like a broken record...

piepeloe- 08-18-2007

Oh it definitely will happen. It's so weird, this is the only show that really delivers on HoYay so in the end it's the only one that can potentially let us down. You don't have to want to see it, it's just there whereas with most slash, you do have to be open to it. Anyway, it means that while I was disappointed but not surprised that all my other slash-OTPs didn't wind up together, it also means that if by the end of this series, House and Wilson aren't together...Heads will roll, I swear. Jouse, I do understand that wish. I think they can still work in some of that. For one thing, it's not because they're together and they're used to it, that everyone else knows let alone is used to it. So you could still have those shocked looks and talks with Cuddy. Flashbacks may not be this show's style, but they could tell how it went...I think that might reveal quite a lot about how they feel about each other. God, I can see it already. House sitting in Cuddy's office, fiddling with his cane, staring straight ahead, voice a bit deeper and hesitant (like ODOR?)...HL would act the pants off of everyone. Somehow I think Wilson would talk to Chase, yeah, I like to think they've become friends after MLC. He'd be more smiling and shy. And why do I see that conversation taking place in the men's room? As to how long the relationship would have been going on, I prefer if it weren't too long or on and off. I really do want it to be something new. Not just because then we'd get in on all that 'new relationship' stuff that's bound to happen, but also because I don't think Wilson and House would have been together when Wilson was married or House was with Stacy. Both H&W aren't exactly the faithful type but I think House is possessive enough to demand it of Wilson, and that Wilson's feelings for House mght be strong enough that he'd consider it cheating on House even if it were technically cheating on his wife.

407- 08-18-2007

People should know right now that I can't see House/Wilson happening on the show, ever. Eternal pessimism, you know?

hwshipper- 08-18-2007

As to how long the relationship would have been going on, I prefer if it weren't too long or on and off. Oh, I would also v much appreciate 'new relationship' stuff - hell of course ANYTHING in canon would be appreciated, I'm with 407 in that I can' actually see it happening  It's just my own personal fanwank; I v much like the idea that House & Wilson got it together a long long time ago, and carry on regardless of the various wives, girlfriends, and Stacy, and it's precisely because their relationship is so strong & fundamental to the two of them, and long-lasting, that the women just don't threaten it. For the most part. </end fanwank> I think House is possessive enough to demand it of Wilson, and that Wilson's feelings for House mght be strong enough that he'd consider it cheating on House even if it were technically cheating on his wife. I find the question of H&W and fidelity v interesting. We know that Wilson's surprised what he can live with, and that House isn't always faithful to the women he dates  I take these points as evidence for my fanwank <oops/end fanwank here instead>

galaxygirl- 08-18-2007

I don't really care how it happens, as long as it happens before the end of the show.

Norah- 08-18-2007

People should know right now that I can't see House/Wilson happening on the show, ever. Eternal pessimism, you know? I hate for my first splash into the hoyay thread be something negative, but to be honest I can't see it happening on the show either. I'm kind of weird though; as long as the show puts an emphasis on the H/W friendship as being the most important relationship in either of their lives and as long as there's subtexy undertones then I'll be okay with it not actually turning into a full fledged sexual relationship. Right at the moment their relationship isn't sexual and I think it's safe to say that there are no two people on this show who are as close as House & Wilson are.

Jouse- 08-18-2007

I've said it before and I'll say it again - I need House/Wilson to be canon, and moreover (and I know I sound like a huge wanker but) I also think society needs it, and would benefit from it. Baah, I've posted about it on the TWOP, I'll try to find it (though the HoYay thread there is a sad, sad place now). ETA- here's my basic take on the issue (which is very important to me): I love the subtext. It's my favorite art form. But I need House/Wilson to be canon. Moreover, if it wont I would see it as passive homophobia. I grief the fact that in prime time TV, canon het ships are legit and slash ships are strictly fandom based, unless it's the main characteristic of the show or the characters involved. At the risk of (spreading even more wildfire rumors-- noooo, RSL get out of my head) irritating some people here, I believe popular culture has a responsibly of pursuing the less predictable and more advanced and interesting scenarios. It freaks me out to see hetero couplings (and quite cliche ones at that) in every damn movie/show/book, when homosexual couples are scarcely represented, and when they are it's often formulated and stereotypical. And I expect more from shows I love, which have several wonderfully written and portrayed characters. House and Wilson are exceptionally interesting and believable characters, and I expect them to have exceptionally interesting and believable relationships. With each other :P

Taiga- 08-18-2007

I'm sympathetic, Jouse, but a homosexual couple doesn't have to be brought into the show by turning canonically heterosexual characters gay. Maybe House will get a gay duckling and we'll see his or her relationship(s), or one of the main characters' brothers or sisters will be gay. I don't think that it will happen on the show either, I just want their friendship to be the most important relationship on the show and in each other's lives. But it's fun to think about it, so... For showing House and Wilson getting together, maybe we can get the Jackie/Hyde revelation that they've been together for a while and everyone finds out. Then they're each asked how it happened by different people, and they give different answers each time. So we see/hear multiple scenarios for how House and Wilson got together, but never find out what the real one is. Then we can choose which one we like best!

Jouse- 08-18-2007

 But House and Wilson are not heterosexual!
