Someone from the FOX board caught this--in Human Error, House called Chase and addressed him as "Dr. Chase" over the phone. That's a bit of an anomaly, isn't it? He doesn't typically address anyone by their title.

Nah, he's referred to other people as "Dr." before. Lots of times. And he's not always using it to compliment them. He's used "Dr. Cuddy" in both "Meaning" and "Informed Consent," (and referred to the patient as "Dr. Powell" in "IC." A reference to "Dr. Foreman" is in "Deception," he calls Mark's therapist "Dr. Harper" in spin .... That's just in a quick search on a couple of episodes.

He does refer to doctors outside the circle as Dr. But there's usually an element of snark when he calls Wilson, Cuddy, Chase, Cameron or Foreman "doctor." (Exception -- he does introduce them as Dr. Lisa Cuddy, etc.)

I miss Chase. So much. ::Sobs::

So do I--badly! I only hope that we Chasers are being made to suffer a few more weeks in order to get a big payoff later. (squeezes eyes shut and clenches fists: I do believe in fairies, I do, I do!) I already have a scene in my head from the spoilers: House walks past the surgery suites after harassing a surgeon and stops, thinking he just saw Chase, masked and gowned in another suite--then shakes his head and keeps walking (and he'd better look sad, too, the firing bastard!) :twisted:

There should be a Chase fic-a-thon. I'm so depressed. We should revive our old topics from that other board. They can't shut us up for 2-3 months. We can still analyze the hell out of Chase. LOL We could rewatch the first 3 seasons and get to know Chase all over again. Who knows what cues we might see with hindsight?

I have two Chase fics I was working on and I can't even write them now. It's too depressing. But people should discuss Chase ep for ep. Might cheer us up.

There should be a Chase fic-a-thon. I believe there is, I keep seeing stories with the author's note "Written for 'Chase Needs A Hug'".

Its mild slash, with Foreman, nothing explicit & Foreman's POV, but really, really lovely. Still Point of the Turning World
