How do I get an avatar?
I'd like to get an avatar pic...are there any on this site?

No - there is a House icons LJ though: http://community.livejournal.com/houseicons You can also take a picture you like and reduce it to 100x100 which is what alot of people do. Quick note: you can put requests like this in the regular troubleshooting thread. You don't need to start a new thread. Welcome!

Thanks! As long as I'm at it, it says "display signature," but I haven't seen anyone's signature. Where are they?

They're disabled. People can see who you are from the avatar next to your posts. We don't allow signing posts.
