The POTW magician in "You Don't Want To Know" this past week is the lovely Steve Valentine. He was a regular cast member (Nigel) on "Crossing Jordan" as well as too many roles in film and television to count.

I just watched 12 Monkeys and saw that David Morse was in it. (spoiler is for the movie) He played the scientist who released the deadly virus that killed 99% of the world's population and drove the survivors to live underground. That's right, Tritter ended the world. Fucker.

Apparently Anne Dudek is all over the shows that I like to watch. Last week I finished up "Mad Men" and this weekend I finished up the second season of "Big Love" where she was one of Albie's wives, administering heavy sedatives to Roman Grant, Mormon overlord.

In the ongoing tradition of embarrassing oneself by watching Ghost Whisperer, Anne Ramsay (Emma from Fetal Position) guest-starred last night, playing a mom whose daughter was also seeing ghosts.

Heh. I like that it's not just me. I feel like less of a loser. {g} I was bummed that she wasn't in more of the episode. I always get really excited when I see her name in the opening credits of things because she's usually pretty badass, but this time she was just sort of there. Bummer. Totally OT, but given the recent "Jon Hamm is super hot" conversation: there's a super cute, two page spread of the regular cast members in the new EW. They're a part of the "most buzzed about" of the year.

I was watching a repeat of the off beat UK comedy on TV last night called "The Book Group". Anyway, lo and behold..one of the main characters was played by Anne Dudek who plays CTB or Dr Amber Volakis. I used to watch this show sporadically a few years ago, and then when watching the new series of House, I kept thinking that the actress who played CTB looked very familiar, but I just could not place what I may have seen her in before. Anyway, I found out that this was the show where I had seen her before. Although a British made TV show, she played the "Neurotic American Claire" who has moved to Glasgow, Scotland and decides to start a book group to meet new friends. It is quite funny actually :lol: The series ran from 2001-2002.

I too watch Ghost Whisperer! It's a perfect Friday night show. I know it gets good ratings because it's that one show where no one wants to admit they watch it until someone else says they do, then everybody is, "OMG, I hate to admit it but I watch it too!" That's happened so often to me.

I just caught a glimpse of Anne Dudek in White Chicks, which is on rotation on FX this month. It's on again at 11:30, for the brave. :wink:

I've never seen "White Chicks" in spite of the fact that it's on cable every other hour (and has been for what seems like years) and I have a bad habit of watching anything and everything, no matter how awful. I remember being fascinated by the makeup when they were first shooting it and then...that was it. In Kal Penn news, "The Namesake" is getting an impressive amount of television promotion for a movie that was so small and barely even in theaters. And it's not just on Fox-related stations. I can't remember what I was watching Sunday (probably "Desperate Housewives") but I saw an advert during that and was kind of excited about it. I have it in my netflix queue, but since I haven't watched the last three discs I got from them I'll probably just run to Best Buy and grab a copy of it because I'd like to see it soon. I should have ordered it when I ordered my "All or Nothing at All" DVD from amazon, but I clearly wasn't thinking ahead that far.

Oh! And I totally forgot that last night's 730 repeat of "Scrubs" on Comedy Central was the episode with Peter Jacobson. Not only that, but it was also the episode with Allison Smith (The Mistake). Not to mention Jason Bateman, though I suppose he's not relevant to "House". He should be, though. I never remember that all three of those storylines are in the same episode. I remember Peter's character and I remember Allison's character, but I think that as soon as I see Leon the Ostrich walk in wearing Turk's hat, everything else goes out the window...

The guy who played gay gangster Joey Arnello in "Mob Rules" was on last night in "Life." He played a creepy grocer who kidnapped a kid in L.A. So I guess that whole federal witness protection cover thing has been blown now!
