No, no, it was all people. Just with, er, costumes. And accessories.

amysusanne- 10-10-2007

Though FOX's promo department worked their little asses off to try to make us think that it was going to be much more than that in their ads all week.

John Cho, who played Harvey in Love Hurts (& incidentally Harold with Kal Penn in Harold & Kumar) has been cast as Sulu on the new Trek movie! Cool! (Any other original Trek fans here?).

Birdwoman- 10-14-2007

I am, saara. A DOB from way back. (Sorry, DOB1234-- btw, is that the origin of your screen name?)

misanthropicobs- 10-14-2007

Yeah, count me as an original Trek fan, it started during my last year in high school & I was among the people who protested enough to get one more year on tv after the show was canceled during the 2nd season.

DOB1234- 10-15-2007

I was/am a Trek fan too. Big time. Went to a few conventions years ago. But no, that's not the origin of my username. I'm really looking forward to the movie. STAR TREK LIVES!

Sarah Clarke (Control) will be on the 7th episode of "Life". It should be airing on 11/7. So, yay for that. She's the main reason that I was disappointed that David Shore and Peter Blake's pilot didn't get picked up. I'm always up for some of her and Xander on my television.

And I am really digging "Life" by the way. If anyone's missed it, they have all episodes online. Damian's got probably the second best American accent of English actors.

A few weeks in now and I completely love John Larroquette's character on Boston Legal. He fits right in the show.

amysusanne- 10-23-2007

I'm still several episodes behind last season, which means that I'm several episodes behind this season as well. I netflixed the last couple of dvds so that I could finally delete all of last spring's episodes from the tivo, but now the new season is building up. Everytime I think, "I'll just cut it and watch all of them when the *next* wave of DVDs comes out!" I see Spader on something or I see Larroquette and realize that I actually do want to know where things are going and I *want* to catch up. There's just no time. So, I suspect that I'll have quite a few episodes in the pipeline by the time I finally get around to watching any of them. And I am really digging "Life" by the way. If anyone's missed it, they have all episodes online. And USA seems to be consistently running it at midnight on Sundays, so there's that slot as well. I'm enjoying it. It's not perfect, but it's fun and intriguing and Damien's kicking ass. I know it's easy to say, since it's never going to happen and, thus, there's no way to actually *prove* it, but I think that with any other actor I might find Charlie's eccentricities obnoxious and irritating. But, he makes it work. He makes me believe that the guy's not putting on these fruit and zen-related affectations and that he really did become who he is now as a result of prison. Plus, you know, Adam Arkin rules. The thing I'm most happy about now, though, is that Reese has grown on me. I wasn't sure that I was going to like her. Nothing against Sarah Shahi (Sara Shahi?), but I just got the feeling in the first episode that I was going to find Reese annoying. But, that's not the case. I finally warmed to her completely when she had her little territorial standoff with Charlie's lawyer. Instead of just taking it as the usual "two women fighting over a guy" moment that it actually was, I took it as an extension of Reese's increasing loyalty towards Charlie now that she's realizing all the politics at play. In reality I'm giving them way too much credit and it was probably 75% girlfight, 25% partner loyalty, but I choose to read it the opposite and stack things in favor of the loyalty over the silly girls fighting over a boy.

I'm watching King of Queens, and "Fran," the PotW from Airborne is the husband's mother!

amysusanne- 10-23-2007

And Doug's Dad is Dakin Matthews from "Damned if you Do".

amysusanne- 10-27-2007

Azura Skye will be on "Ghost Whisperer" next Friday. Too bad she couldn't have been on this week: JLH encountered an angry mob of ghosts who had all been murdered after being striken with ergot poisoning. And Jayma Mays showed up on this week's "Pushing Daisies" as a woman living in a windmill who wrote letters to her late mother's late boyfriend which were intercepted by his cell mate who had been told the story about the diamonds that he (the dead convict) had hidden in the windmill which his dead girlfriend's daughter now had hidden in her wooden leg. Except that he didn't know that. And did I mention that the living convict only had one arm. Obviously it was all destiny. Jayma was great, though. They all were. I worship this show.

I think Jayma Mays was also on Ghost Whisperer this year. But I was too embarrassed to admit I'd actually watched it. (I did wonder if ergot poisoning counted as a guest star...) John Cho (Harvey from Love Hurts) is on tonight's episode of How I Met Your Mother. He was also on Ugly Betty last week and he's been cast as Sulu in the JJ Abrams Star Trek movie.
