Did this come up yet? Hugh Laurie will be Dr. Cockroach, Ph.D. in the animated "Monsters v. Aliens" due out in March 2009.

Anyone else find it weird that 7 months before a $165M film is supposed to be released, they still seem to be working on the hardware and software needed to animate and edit it? I would not want to be the project manager on those projects! :)
Carla Gallo (Act Your Age) is supposedly going to be on "Bones" this season. Not sure in what capacity, because to be honest I didn't read the article, but the news was posted on the "Undeclared" mailing list. She was featured in footage shown at Comic Con this weekend.

Anne Dudek had one scene in the S2 premiere of Mad Men on Sunday. Having coffee and cigarettes and wondering about call girls with January Jones.
It took me a minute or two to be sure it was her. Looks and sounds quite different but the attitude comes thru.

During Dr. Who I saw an ad for one of the SciFi Channel's endless supply of bad movies, Heatstroke, which apparently stars D.B. Sweeney (and unrelatedly, but rather awesomely, Danica McKellar).

I was watching the last disc of Six Feet Under season 3 yesterday and who showed up as the daughter of the Dead Guy du jour? Anne Dudek. She ended up having sex with Nate Fisher. I hate Nate, I have this compulsive urge to say this whenever I mention SFU.
She looked slightly different, I only recognized her because of her voice at first. I couldn't pinpoint the why she looked different. Maybe it was just her age or something.

Someone recently brought up "Driven" which in addition to RSL, has three minor characters from House episodes:
- Kip Pardue, who played Brent Mason (father of the newborn baby) in “Forever”
- Stacy Edwards, who played Lucy Palmiero (schizophrenic mom) in "Socratic Method"
- Brent Briscoe, who played the snakebite farmer in "Three Stories"

I've been watching "The X-files" from the beginning, in order and I'm up to episode 44. So far, while there could easily be more that I just haven't picked up on, there have been three "House" actors showing up in guest roles.
Andrew Airlie (from the pilot) was in "The Jersey Devil", playing Scully's date that she ditched to go help Mulder in, naturally, Jersey. No bad came upon him and we never saw him again.
Dan Butler (from Distractions) was one of the PTA parents practicing (and paying for) occult rituals in a small town in "Die Hand Die Verletzt". He got eaten by a snake. I forgot about that. Not good.
Lance Guest (from Safe) played a militant animal rights activist in "Fearful Symmetry". Death by cattle prod/zoo animal transport crates. Too bad that he was there to *help*. I really don't like this episode at all mainly because I have a hard time watching animal-centric stories when I know they aren't going to end well. I don't think I had seen this episode since it first aired and if I weren't a little bit OCD and needed to watch every episode in order I might have skipped it.

So I inspired you, amysusanne? ;-)
I decided to keep on track no matter how torturous Seasons 8 and 9 are and I'm almost finished with Season 8 (4 episodes left) - the later appearances of Mulder re-energized me for the home stretch. Just one more season to go!
I noticed a couple of future House guest stars as well but you have a better memory for episodes, etc. I'm more like "Oh yeah! That guy!"

um...TOTALLY!
I probably would have just randomly watched some had I not been convinced by your devotion that it *could* be done. ;-)

Yeah, I'm sure I'll be feeling the pain towards the end, but I'm still excited and obsessed at the moment. And the good episodes in those last two seasons (even though you go stretches without actually seeing one) make the fight to finish worthwhile.

My memory of the first couple of seasons is really good, but guest stars in this most recent season are probably going to be harder for me to spot. They all run together. Either that or they become that person that I know from somewhere and can't place...and then I feel stupid when I realize I know them from "House".

Bumping this up with additional news:
Sarah Clarke ("Control") will, as far as I can tell, be playing Eric McCormack's wife in the new TNT series "Trust Me". It's supposed to debut sometime this winter and given that in addition to liking both of those actors, Tom Cavanagh is one of the leads, I don't really need to be forced to watch this one.
Also, I don't think this has been mentioned (I checked, but the search function sort of hates me), Peter Jacobson has a role in the new Deniro flick "What Just Happened?". I'm not sure how big his role is, but he gets a decent amount of screentime (sans lines) in the trailer. This movie looks to have the potential to be really awesome or really awful. It's anybody's guess which way it'll go.
I just went to the imdb to see if I had the name right and it looks like Marin Hinkle (from "Babies and Bathwater") also has a role in it.

Just saw Edi Gathegi rolling around in a golf cart in a DSL commercial.

Steve Valentine (the magician from YDWTK) is in tonight's episode of The Middleman.

Going back a week, Wings Hauser was on last Monday's ep of "Saving Grace". He looked pretty good. for Wings Hauser, at least. He's looked all weird and puffy and waxy the last few years when I've seen him on things, but he looked a lot younger and like a human being.
Also, I guess Edi Gathegi is in "Twilight". Not being a fan, I haven't paid much attention to it, but I caught up on some Comic Con related stuff that was sitting in the tivo this past weekend and there he was.
And in CC-related news, they showed a lengthy season two montage to promote "Chuck" and John Larroquette looks to be an excellent, excellent, excellent guest star. The video is up on youtube, but it's quite spoilery, so if you're a "Chuck" fan who wants to remain unspoiled, skip it and just trust me that he is so going to rock that show.

I'm going to throw this in the drama thread as well, but I'm just so psyched about it that I have to put it here too:
If you're planning on picking up the "Gossip Girl" DVDs run as fast as you can and buy them from Target. They're basically the same price as they are everywhere else and they include the ENTIRE paley panel from this spring. The whole thing. From intros to the wrap up. Everything is there. It's none of that half assed bullshit they did with the "Heroes" and "The Office" DVDS last year. The Josh Schwartz fangirl that lives inside of me is doing cartwheels right now. I hadn't planned to immediately buy the set because I would be doing so just for the extras, but when I saw that that was the bonus disc I bought them and when I saw that it was the whole thing instead of the little thirty minute clip show job I expected I was really, really happy that I decided to go to Target today.
And my hopes are out of this world that the same deal with apply to "Chuck" and "Pushing Daisies" when those discs come out in a few weeks. I'm off to squee with my new DVDs now.
