Yeah, that's what I meant, Poeia, the explicit, graphic, personal aspects would likely be distasteful to him (which I don't care for either other than the occasional light jest). Of course, Hugh's best friend is gay and he's not bothered by homosexuality at all. He is, however, bothered by having his picture taken by strangers on the street, so can't see him wanting to hear about said strangers' graphic sexual fantasies about himself. Ew! But then, I actually worry more about his kids or his kids' friends finding that stuff: that really squicks me out. Don't mean to offend folks here, but that's just my opinion.

Even if he won't indulge in the (wonderful) graphic pr0n fics (you can never know, though), because it would be weird for him (and not disgusting, IMO), I meant the idea of fans slashing House and Wilson wouldn't bother him at all. After all, he is game ;) and I actually think he would find that more interesting than the obvious het ships. YMMV, naturally. I think he'll have a wild time reading here :p

HL doesn't even like to watch the show itself or read reviews or even like to hear that he's called a sex symbol. Even the most benign compliments make him uncomfortable, nevermind the kind of obsession we engage in here. I don't see how anyone could think, based on his personality, he'd enjoy any fansite at all, no matter how nice. And on the flipside, I think most fans prefer to be free and enjoy their discussions without worrying about censoring because of what their objects of fandom might think (for example, OE/Foreman isn't well loved, but Hugh actually likes Omar and would probably be bothered by that, etc.) He spends 18 hours a day analyzing House as part of his job - I think that's the last thing he'd want to spend his free time doing. HL's spoken a couple of times about how thinking everything is a disaster is almost a superstition for him, and he wouldn't know what what to do if he thought he actually nailed a scene. Obviously that attitude has served him well so far. It's something I've heard a few times from various artists - they only feel good when they feel bad, basically. If they feel good about the end product it's their clue that they screwed it up. I wouldn't read any more into it other than it being his process and his way of working. He's done it that way for the past 25 years and been brilliant at it, so I wouldn't want it changed in any way.

I think he'll have a wild time reading here :p Um, no. I agree with Boffle. HL would actually hate it here. He finds message boards quite disturbing and hurtful. It doesn't matter to him how flattering we may think the gushing comments about his arms, legs and eyes are; he does not like people talking about his body. :oops: As to the hoyay stuff, I doubt that would bother him. It's only a character.

Again, I think HL should steer clear of the HL thread. I was merely talking about the characters analysis and the shipping threads. And I'm still sure he'll be amused.

As for the particular insinuation Defamer is making, I think the fewer people who understand and/or repeat it the better. If there were anything scandalous or even disappointing in Hugh's life, I think someone, somewhere would have gone ahead and reported it (see: pretty much every infotainment show, every day). Or will report it. If there isn't anything, there's no point spreading rumors.

Never been to the site before. Now I know what to do with that grain of salt :) Moving on - HL and slash. I always got the vibe that he was very, very okay with manlove given the gayliciousness of his F& L work, epscially the very first F&L TV show.
