I like this heading on the page: Visiting Hugh and Stephen

I saw brief on-set interview with him while filming and I've seen him in one pic (ages ago, don't know where) so he film something. But he's no longer on imdb so maybe they removed him or he removed himself. Dunno.

Somebody on LJ said they cut all of Stephen's scenes from the movie.

well that sucks. Between the plot and the supporting cast, it already looks to me like it might just be good enough to make up for the Tom Cruise factor (it's nothing personal - I just don't like his acting), but some bonus Stephen would have been even cooler. :cry: Maybe we can still hope his scenes were filmed and will make the DVD extras....

I think his appearance was always up in the air because every time I would check the Valkyrie imdb page in past months, Stephen would be listed with the cast, but never given a character name.

iamdaffodils, where does your avatar come from? I don't recall ever seeing a photo shoot with Hugh wearing that particular shirt. It's a delicious photo.

Well...it looks like I've been rewarded for spending 9 hours sleeping outside in the bitter cold last week with a little pre-Chistmas upper respiratory infection. It happens! But...as I'm sure you all know..boy does it suck. You know what I could go for? Some tea! Any suggestions about boiling a cup for one?? :wink: Can't sleep so I just got caught up on the 10 or so pages I missed...love it when this thread is chatty!! I have to say...as much as I enjoyed the tea discussion...it was the biceps analysis that really did it for me! Made me wish even harder for that Cheap Christmas Gifts sketch from dress rehearsal to show up somewhere. Oh well. Ooh...one other biceps thing. In the Australia sketch Hugh was wearing a bright yellow polo shirt under his khaki vest...and his arms were bulging out of that too! And he was wearing khaki shorts so there was leg porn too. Not the crazy quad muscles but his calves are nothing to sneeze at either! Anyway poeia I think you love the biceps so much for the same reason I do. He doesn't try to draw attention to them when he dresses himself so when other people dress him and we see them it's extra special. The shirts Hugh wears are usually a little bigger than House's shirts. Not all of them of course but a lot of the ones from candid working out pics and other stuff like that. The more form fitting stuff seems to come from people who get the best job ever of dressing him for a living. hughslblues I have another question for you, if that's ok. Do you remember what Hugh was doing when not in the scene? I'm just wondering if he was watching from the side, dancing, or was he whisked backstage all the time? Oh also, any observations of what he was doing while in the scene, but the camera on someone else? Preparing for business (ie, stuffing the napkin in Bob Kemp's pocket?) Thanks! boffle this is from a million pages ago...sorry!! Hope you didn't think I was ignoring you. I'll never get tired of answering questions...just wasn't on the computer much the past few days while this lovely thing formed in my chest. Sorry for that image. Hugh was whisked off stage VERY quickly between sketches cause he was in every one except the last one in dress which was cut. Even between a sketch and a Kanye performance he got taken away quickly cause he had to change clothes. When he was not on camera but in a sketch...he stood off to the side watching and in a lot of cases laughing! He really seemed to like all of the sketches and get a kick out of the other performers! He and Jason Sudeikis cracked each other up during the dinner sketch a lot actually. Jason couldn't totally keep it together when Hugh turned around and sang Silent Night and Hugh cracked a smile in dress when Jason screamed "Park it Judith!!!" which I have to say made everyone else laugh too. I didn't see Hugh put the napkin in Bob Kemp's suit so he either came back to the set dressed that way or somebody added it. I'm not sure! He didn't have a lot of time to hang out if he wasn't in a sketch cause he was in everything but Update and the very last one. When he did have a moment before introducing Kanye and someone shouted "Blackadder!" he was really cute in acknowledging that and he definitely danced at the end of the show when Kanye did an extra number...also adorable! Then he walked off and waved to everyone which pretty much made my life cause I waved like a crazy person even though he probably didn't see me! :lol: The only other thing I can remember that I don't think I remembered to tell you guys the first time happened while the England 1651 sketch was getting ready to go. All the people in the sketch were standing around waiting...including Hugh of course...and the lady who lets them know how many seconds before they're ready said one minute...then like two seconds later she said 34 seconds!! A bunch of the cast said "WHAT?!" and Hugh said..."Wait...what??" and it was just very confusing and cute. She had the time wrong I guess but it was ok in the end and they were ready to go. Nothing earth shattering there but it was another little moment I thought you guys would want to know about!

hughsblues I love that you were able to go and then share all this with us. I get excited just reading it- I can't imagine having really been there! How awesome for you. I love all the little stories like the "wait... what?". That makes it all the more real. I love the little things in life.

Whoever wrote NiaH - God Bless them, is all I have to say. That wheelchair + Hugh's arms = love. How could I forget Distractions - oh yeah, as the Kool-Aid pitcher would say :) Especially since that woman at the Paley event or whatever it was embarrased Hugh with the comment about his arms in that ep.
