Speaking of Stephen's blog, he doesn't mention one of his other vices: speeding. I guess since he is driving (well, I'm assuming HE'S actually driving) across the U.S. that he got his license back.
He is travelling in a London taxicab. I am guessing that he must have a Taxi Driver!

Not likely. Stephen famously drove his own cab around London because he found he could get around much faster, other cab drivers let him merge into traffic, and he could break speed limits. He also occasionally had someone get into his cab and then be surprised to see who was driving.
P.S. he used his own cab in ABoF&L

ABoF&L is generally just win; I love the references in DIY Sheep's recaps.
And how awesome would it be, generally, to jump in a cab and they see Stephen Fry driving it? I don't know if any of you Brits have heard of the panel game I'm Sorry I Haven't A Clue- it's a spoof of team games where they do pun-based games and it's hilarious... anyway, once, I went to a live recording and STEPHEN FRY was the guest star. I almost squeed out of the theatre.
What's the link to his blog? I lost it.

Is that the car in the picture on his blog? God, he's so awesome. Wonder when he's getting to my state.

house_daily has new pics of HL at a recent press conference.

Cool. I like the second one in the first row. Very cute.

Oh, and the news page of hughlaurie.net has been updated. There are some quotes and a few new (I think) photos from the set of Night Watch.
Regarding the press conference pictures -- the face is wonderful (as always). But a taupe/brown shirt with a dark gray pinstripe jacket? I'm no fashion expert and, clearly, neither is Hugh Laurie.
edit: amysusanne, I'm okay with brown/gray. But not with pinstripes.

When I consider the flowery shirt alertatives, I'm totally down with any kind of brown/gray clashfest.
Actually, I think he looks really good in those colors and, weirdly, it works for me. Though I agree that they're...non-traditional. Mainly I just needed an excuse to, once again, mock his hideous flowery shirts.

Hib and LaurieIsLush - I really should get that photo "into the computer" I'm not as web-clueless as RSL, but I can certainly compete with his laziness :P).
Someone asked about the height difference - the top of my head reached Stephen's shoulder. I'm about 5'7. Does this help? :)

You lucky, lucky thing! It's a great programme, it has me in fits of laughter. I am toying with a fic at the moment, and its working title is Mornington Crescent. I love how they'll always play One Song to the Tune of Another when Stephen is on, just to torture him.

Okay, press conference pictures - I love all the pictures on row 1, and row 2, oh hell forget it.
And in the first picture, second row of The Night Watchmen pictures, that sign he's standing under - hmmm talk about a breakfast sandwich.

Based on the way he dressed on Parkinson's and other interview shows in the 90s, Hugh has absolutely no fashion sense where dressed up is the requirement but not formal. He dresses pretty cool when casual and, damn, he looks great in a tux (as almost every guy does*)
On a Stephen note: Did anyone else see the sad replacement they used as the shrink on Bones? really disappointing. They must bring Gordon Gordon back if only occasionally!

Yeah I was thinking the same thing last night. If you can't get Gordon Gordon, best to forget the therapy storyline as anyone else will pale in comparison to SF.
