Did you notice Adam the autistic kid from Lines in the Sand? I thought I recognized his name in the opening credits and then knew it was him as soon as I saw him. Kid's a good actor.
Thank you, iam, i recognized his face but could not place him!

Could the scene where you saw the Hugh resemblance for a brief second have been the one at the end where he was looking at that "flow chart" thing on his wall - I kind of saw it briefly too, but maybe because it reminded me of House staring at the whiteboard.
That is absolutely where I saw the resemblance too. In the past I've thought I noticed a slight resemblance at times, but during that scene I thought omigod he really does look like Hugh. Maybe they're third cousins or something like that. All us Celts look alike.

It was something earlier in the episode. Like, first fifteen minutes or so. I'm gonna catch the USA repeat because our affiliate was having some "technical difficulties" and there were some sound issues. I'm sure it'll jump out at me again and I'll actually remember it this time.

Yep. Actually, I mentioned this in the "other cast" thread, but I have absolutely no problem bitching about it further. {g} The sound went completely wonky during that kid's entire scene so I *still* have no idea what his normal speaking voice sounds like (or why Charlie was hugging his partner). Atlanta television gets lots of points deducted from their score for their performance last night. FOX *and* NBC managed to fuck up their broadcasts in completely bizarre ways that were local and not national. I hope they got angry emails this morning.

amy - the other brief Hugh-like moment I just thought of too (which was early in the episode) was when he bent down to look at the dog.
But yeah if it hits you after you re-watch on USA, please share.

My friend hugelaurie posted this rather interesting photo of HL on her LJ.
It contains some slight, gentle poking fun of HL --but it's all done out of love!

OMG that pic is so cute! Such a turn on! I guess he doesn't care for undershirts.
I gotta get a poke in there. :P
It also looks like he has a giant round ring on his finger!

I've said it before and I'll say it a million more times: huge is a bad, bad girl. {g}

I've never conversed with hugelaurie through the magic of the interweb, but I certainly would like to. Anyone with that screen name is bound to be a barrel of laughs. Best ever.

Was that photo taken from LE's camera phone? :-) If so, I think huge and LE might be in competition for the title of who's the bad, bad girl. :-)

Why do I have this unnatural desire to fiddle with those buttons?

He was definitely having wardrobe problems that night. There are also a couple of pics I love taken outside when he is trying to get his shirt and his pants to agree. (I'm happy.)

Probably the best evidence that humor may be sexually selected is a recent study that shows women rated men with a sense of humor as 'attractive', while men didn't find humorous women attractive ( ) - instead, their choices were based mostly on physical characteristics. As an aside, women also find intelligence to be an attractive quality in potential mates.
*sigh* Tell me something I don't know! Now if only could find a man who is a) smarter than me, or at least equally intelligent b) can kick my ass or at least give it a good effort (I'm a martial artist) c) is a better computer programmer than I am. If I could find a, b, and c, I'd probably fall in love and want to have his babies. But all I seem to get is posers who try, and fail, to kick my ass, then can't simply admit it like a good sport (no point arguing if I'm mashing your face into the floor!) or pretend they know lots about programming when it is obvious to anyone they are talking gibberish, or simply don't have the intellectual chops to have a conversation with me. Not that I am so smart, fierce, or a code ninja. But hey, we all have standards.
Haven't seen the Leno clip yet, nor, for that matter, the new House! Well, that's what the weekend's for.

If you haven't heard the RSL radio interview (it's on the RSL thread, I think), do so. There's a great anecdote about HL and RSL doing a scene but the best part is hearing that RSL and HL hang out and go to dinner and commiserate about being far from home. :D

Maybe the lack of a t-shirt was due to the warm temperatures that day. Was it last year or the year before when the temperatures were close to 100 during the Red Carpet scene and I remember pix showing Hugh sweating like a... well, a lot. Maybe this year he figured if he was going to have to stand around in a tux in the late afternoon sun he was damned well going to skip the t-shirt.
