And to stay OT here, the TV Guide cover picture looks familiar. Is that one of the shots from the last time he was on the cover, what a month or so ago? I think the picture on the cover is one from Hugh's fall cover...with him sitting at a desk. He looks great!

Driving home from work this evening I was listening to BBC Radio 2 Chris Evan Show and they have a "top tenuous link" slot to a celeb or sportsman. Today people had to phone or text in with a tenuous link to, you've guessed it, Hugh Laurie! It's only a very short bit of harmless nonsense , so I thought'd I share. It was shortly after the 6pm News but before 6.15, so I guessing if you fast forward about 1 hour or so you'll be able to listen to it if you wish.

I thought it was a publicity photo? You know marykir...you could totally be right about that. At first I thought it looked like a different photo from the shoot for Hugh's fall cover cause of the blue shirt/gray jacket combo like he was wearing there. But come to think of it...blue shirt/gray jacket is hardly new for pictures of Hugh/House! :wink: Thanks for the link to that ermoo!! That was fun to listen to! Who knows if they're all true...but it was cute anyway! (I love that someone texted just to say that he ALMOST cycled over their foot in central London!)

I clicked on that ad on the LA Times site the other day to attend The Envelope's Emmy screening series, the night for House of course. I just got an RSVP that said, in part Please note that your RSVP does not guarantee you a seat at the screening -- we anticipate that each screening will fill to capacity and seating for those who have RSVP'd will be first come, first serve, so please arrive early. Huh, I wonder what this means. Does it mean that they are RSVPing a bit more than the capacity of the hall in order to assure a full house, or are they inviting 500 people too many and devil take the hindmost? I’m going to be driving quite a ways, so this response makes me kind of nervous. Anybody familiar with this kind of setup for a performance or meeting? Based on the Sex and the City premiere fiasco, over-inviting is likely.

Because I am short, I can only imagine what I might walk into. :oops: :wink: Heh. I'm not quite 5'1" & in high school always seemed to get seated behind a guy who was maybe 6'6" (@#$! alphabetical seating charts!) - usually what I walked into was an elbow :)

Mine do not smell anything like what I associate w/ Hugh. :lol: I imagine he smells like fabric softener, fresh air, and a hint of tobacco.
