Homina, Homina, Homina: Hugh Laurie

I stopped watching the Ellen Cam after Hugh's interview, so I have no idea if he came back. But they had a lot of stuff at the beginning (maybe the marshmallow game) plus Jason Castro singing, so it didn't seem like there would be time for Hugh to do anything else. The Australian article/interview is kinda weird. The bit supposedly in Hugh's trailer sounds new (or at least not previously published), but I could swear I've seen the other quotes word for word in past articles. eta: James Denton was on Last Call with Carson Daly last night and they talked quite a bit about Band from TV. Carson held up something that looked like a CD box and I got all excited, but it turned out to be just a photo of the band :) They played a few seconds of You Can't Always Get What You Want with Hugh/Bonnie singing.

I thought the same thing, but I decided that it might just be a case of Hugh using some of his stock answers. I guess the reporter could have strung together some not previously published bits from interviewing Hugh - the trailer, the new DVD, the music software - and then padded the whole thing with old quotes. Who knows?

The intro to that article refers to him as "Huhg" and says House is a surgeon lol...nice research! Headlines and subheads wouldn't be written by the reporter. But their webmaster or someone on the copy desk is obviously lazy. Don't they use surgeon as a general term? I've heard that before like doctor/surgeon interchangeable. But yeah that article sounds made up, cause I've read a lot of those quotes before. Ok, now that you mention it, maybe they did just pad it and had only a few real tidbits. Does anyone here own a copy of the 5/16/08 issue of EW magazine and a scanner? Hugh pics.

If that's the issue that subscribers get this weekend, I usually don't get it until Saturday. Sometimes Monday. If it's the issue that subscribers got last weekend, it is somewhere in the mess known as my living room :) But I thought I looked at that for House finale info and it was a week too early... If I haven't seen any scans by the time I get my copy, I'll make some. I can see the top of the scanner for a change.

Am I missing something? The only thing I saw in EW that was Hugh-related (other than a quote from "House") was a promo pic and little blurb about Monday's episode. Here's a low quality scan. If you're 100% unspoiled, don't look at the pic because it gives away what's going to be happening in the ep. If you're spoiled with the adverts the pic won't phase you, but I'd avoid the blurb. Man, what does House have to do to get an A from EW?

It's kind of funny, actually. I haven't paid much attention to television ratings lately, but I've noticed the past few weeks that every movie that I've seen and enjoyed or *want* to see has gotten some variation of a B review from EW. Sarah Marshall, B. Harold and Kumar, B. Iron Man, B. Baby Mama, B. And now House gets a B. Apparently I'm slightly above average in my tastes...

Did anybody hear/read something about the Writers Give Back event with Hugh on Monday?

Did anybody hear/read something about the Writers Give Back event with Hugh on Monday? I know nothing. If you know something, can yuu spill the beans? I know he did a reading the same day he taped the LLS, but that is all I know.

No, I know nothing either. Just remembered that he was supposed to do it and since it's already been some days, I thought somebody might have heard something about it.

The only thing on the Writers Give Back web site blog is a short mention that they collected lots of books for the show. They'll write more later, but I doubt they'll give us the kinds of important information we really want to know, like what was Hugh wearing, did he look as adorable as usual, etc.

According to the Band From TV website, Teri Hatcher is now a member of the group along with Jesse.

And, according to Hugh, he barely is -- because he can't make it to rehearsals.
