Since the fates despise me in a different way than I thought they did I was home to see this. I think it was a good interview. Hugh looked like he was having a good enough time.He did, didn't he? There was an energy there that's usually lacking in those kinds of things. I really enjoyed it. Like, genuinely enjoyed it and didn't just enjoy it because it was Hugh Laurie on my television. {g}
OMG SO HOT! Can I kiss his elbow and make it better?You take the elbow...I'm holding out for a list of the other injured body parts up for grabs.
I just thought it was adorable how thrilled he is that BFTV's version of Minnie the Moocher was the most downloaded on iTunes. When is this guy going to realize how huge a star he is?I don't think that his excitement over it was an indication that he isn't aware of his celebrity status, I think the giddiness was because he's not a professional musician and yet this cover this dumb celebrity cover band he's in recorded of a classic song that a million other people have already covered is number one on something like itunes. It's pretty impressive, really.
I really need to re-watch this interview but during the discussion about the OBE it sounded like Hugh was about to say something about his Dad and then didn't finish. Did anyone else hear this or was I hallucinating again?I think you probably heard the bit where they were talking about his kids. Jay said something about "Dad" from the POV of Hugh's children and then Hugh went on to talk about his son's opinion on the honor. I didn't hear anything about his father at all. Actually, I didn't hear Jay really cut him off in that bit of the show, they were both just sort of finishing each others sentences. Which now that I type that out it sounds stupid since that's probably the definition of cutting someone off, but you know what I mean. They were having an overlapping conversation.

You know, I hate the word 'squee', but I have to say that I did a lot of squeeing last night. Hugh looked so dapper in that suit. He managed to look dressed up and casual at the same time. He was joking around, seemed comfortable, and pulled a lot of funny 'Hugh' faces. I missed the first few minutes, so I didn't see him talk about the tennis elbow. Hopefully I'll get to see the whole interview somewhere. :shifty:
