That interview and those pictures...oh my. The q&a between those guys was fantastic and so totally natural. Friends should always get to interview each other like that!! I remember seeing Jon Canter on the Comedy Connections thing...cool guy! And the Hughness just...it speaks for itself. I'm smiling like an idiot at my screen just reading things he says...
There's a very short shot of Hugh and Lisa near the end, directly after James Spader is announced. Hugh is saying something to her and one can even make out his voice (at least I think so with my headphones on) and I swear I hear "I'll be back" every time I rewind and watch that snippet. Should I no longer suppress the maniacal grin from spreading all over my face or can someone put me out of my misery (or elation, as it where) and tell me words that are more likely?
See...don't do that to me. I'm home sick today and don't have anything to do and now I have to go back and try to lip read just cause I'm bored and you brought it up...I gave it a few trys before my head felt it would explode from the slo-mo of the screen and my face up close to it to try and see and hear it...but I can't tell what either of them say. If Hugh did say "I'll be back" though...I'd be surprised cause that doesn't sound like old Gifto! It's kinda cute if he did though...of course he could have said "wow I could really kick a puppy in the head right now" and I'd be all "awwww!" so don't go by me.

Hey hughsblues - you're not fooling us with that home sick routine....you're sitting there beside your mailbox waiting for TV Guide to arrive. :) Fess up!
Although come to think of it, if you are sick, you do need to see a doctor!!!! :D

Minnie the Moocher bonus track iTunes has Band from TV's rendition of Minnie the Moocher available as a bonus track on the House Original Soundtrack! It costs .99 and it's worth every penny!

Oh my. For a mind blowing experience, listen to that back to back with the version from The World of Jeeves & Wooster.
Hugh really is an excellent piano player. It's not fair. 12 years of lessons, I was never that good :)

I'm so sorry hughsblues, that my question has caused you to have to watch Hugh in slow motion, your eyes hanging on every movement of his lips.
Oh, come on! You enjoyed that. Admit it. :D
I know it doesn't sound like something he'd say. He could be saying "He'll be back", or whatever. Hmmm, another mystery...

Few people are as good at anything as Hugh is. :D

Hi, folks, can I ask that the soundtrack discussion be moved to the music thread? If you scroll through you'll find some other things you might enjoy as well like links to the soundtrack site (where you can probably also ask questions) & some free (legal) downloads that fill out your collection. Link is this

Hi all, first post. I joined and said hi, but thought I wouldn't post til the season started when I had something to say. But I just read the TV Guide interview and had to say I like Hugh Laurie. I usually just like shows and performances cuz when I read about the real people something turns me off. I watched House from the beginning and loved the show and the character but that wasn't enough for some reason. I wanted to know about the actor. Everything I read made me like him, but when House took off I figured he would change and be a "star."But happily everything up to and including todays article has made me like him more. I am doing laundry and smiling!

The TV Guide Emmy Nightlife program has a glimpse or two of Band from TV and Hugh. I only remember seeing him toward the end, and don't remember seeing anyone else from House in the program. They did interview James Denton and he talked about the band - there were some inserts of rehearsal video showing Hugh then.
My recording stopped before the very end of the program, so I don't know if there was anything in the last 3-4 minutes. (All my TV Guide recordings cut off early the past few days...unfortunately I don't always have enough tuners free to pad the recording time.) I guess I'll have to record another repeat :(

xphile101 (at the other place) posted the following:
If anyone still needs a copy of The Gun Seller, Borders has it out on their "three for two" table. (At least, mine did, and I assume it's a chain-wide thing.)
ETA: S_Z - already a member. I have a Borders 3 blocks from me. But they send me 25% off coupons frequently -- I'm waiting for the next one to use on the soundtrack.

If you sign up for borders rewards they'll give you a coupon for 30% off too (mine has it on hold for me to pick up this weekend).

I don't *think* that there was anything in those last couple of minutes, but I'll check for you just in case they don't repeat it. For some reason TVG never repeats the things I really want to see, but they seem to have that "Close Up: American Idol" on a constant loop.
I did like seeing of them from the party, though, and was glad that they actually showed a shot of Greg and Hugh for a change. They usually get cut off, mostly out of practicality. I mean, the guy in the back and the guy on the far side of the stage aren't usually gonna get as much play as the three in the middle. So, seeing them both there and in focus was nice. I'm sort of shocked that a bigger deal wasn't made out of Teri Hatcher or Joey Fatone. Especially since Fatone is Mr. TV Guide Channel right now. I can see Wayne Brady and Jesse Spencer being ignored, but you'd think they'd be all over their guy being up on the stage. And, again, TVG loves those Desperate Housewives.
