marykir...thank you!! I'm actually glad to know that it wasn't there ...confirms that I'm not totally nuts. Very cute little Hugh blurbs...and I'm glad the wardrobe people went their own way rather than taking James Denton's little suggestion. Nothing beats Hugh looking that dapper!! Ok except for jeans and a t-shirt that shows his biceps...but other than that the suit look is perfect! Edit... That was a really nice interview. He looks great. Love that black (or very dark navy) shirt. I think it was navy and I like that shirt too iamdaffodils!! It looks like a Hugh standard and I love what a comfort creature he is with his clothes...it's very normal guy-ish. Anyway the lighting or something is a little weird in that interview..did you notice that? At first I thought the pants he was wearing looked like leather! But then I remembered it was Hugh I was watching and my senses came back. I think it was his current fave dark jeans. But in the little video clip they look shiny or something! Maybe I need a new computer...

Yea, I liked the shirt too. I Also thought it looked kind of sheer, like you could see a paper in his pocket, but on ther hand likely not. And I thought his pants looked shiny too. Very nice interview, though I don't think that's necessarily the only direction where his future lies: as said upthread there is no lack of people willing to hug him. It's just that he's so good with the attitude without overdoing it, few have that skill. All it takes is the right screenplay and Bob's your uncle! Well, maybe a little more complicated than that...

What the hell...maybe it was the resolution of the video or something. But if the man has started wearing sheer shirts and leather pants...I'm gonna start to question things. (or blame James Denton) Very nice interview, though I don't think that's necessarily the only direction where his future lies: as said upthread there is no lack of people willing to hug him. Agree with you here too...he may not be getting the "wanna hug him" roles right now but they could totally start to roll in later. Aw, Hugh. I think we'd all volunteer to make a movie in which you're hugged repeatedly. You said it namaste!

"I'll get points with my son Bill for that," says the British star, who spent most of his time off in London playing the piano, walking his chocolate Lab, Stan, and watching Dog Whisperer. Hey, he and RSL can have viewing parties (RSL said recently that filming scenes cuts into his Dog Whisperer watching time).

Hugh Street Kings interview on iesb.net. There are several other SK interviews also. Was it just me or was the audio really fucked up at the beginning of that interview? And I kept wondering where they hid the mic because whenever Hugh slapped his hands together it was extraordinarily loud. I'd also like to get in line for the hugging.

And I kept wondering where they hid the mic because whenever Hugh slapped his hands together it was extraordinarily loud. I'd also like to get in line for the hugging. The interview skipped at the beginning - I played it twice ostensibly to see if it would play better the second time and actually because I just can't get enough of him being coy. Also, what was that about no one ever came up to him...? Just fooling. Also, save me a place right behind you, bailey! :D

Can I say how much I love him using the word "daren't? My favorite contraction used by those that speak the Queen's English.

Can I say how much I love him using the word "daren't? My favorite contraction used by those that speak the Queen's English. Mustn’t use 'the Queen's English' when talking about Hugh. Craig Ferguson says he wouldn't like that.

Mustn’t use 'the Queen's English' when talking about Hugh. Craig Ferguson says he wouldn't like that. Wink Why not? I mean, I'm not surprised but he is known for his posh accent as well as his self-deprecation. Did Craig or Hugh specifically say something about that? And yes, I love his use of daren't. I want to say it too, but doubt I could get away with it. More's the pity. (See? I probably didn't get away with that either.)

DOB1234- 03-25-2008

Sela Ward was making an appearance on CF's show and in talking about Hugh's lovely accent she used the expression 'the Queen's English'. CF said that she shouldn't use that expression, that Hugh wouldn't like it. Sela said that she thought it meant a well educated, well spoken man. CF then explained that it meant something like 'a well educated, confirmed old bachelor, who enjoys a parade. And that's not Hugh'. Wink. Wink. I'd never heard that either, but that's what Craig said. ETA: This Sela Ward appearance was back when she was playing Stacey.

And I kept wondering where they hid the mic because whenever Hugh slapped his hands together it was extraordinarily loud. It was his ring hitting the side of the chair (reminding me he's married. Sob). That was so nice seeing him. He looks so fresh. He was definitely right about having a sunny disposition. The man is sunny. I wanna eat him up with a spoon. Yeah, his accent is posh. Sexy, hot, posh voice. Takes any man from a seven to a nine. Haha to the word "daren't". The only person I ever heard say that was a 94 year old.

amysusanne- 03-26-2008

It looks like "Kingdom" was picked up for a third series. According to The Guardian, they'll film it "later this year".

TJRX- 03-26-2008

I had forgotten that Ferguson interview. I remember Sela saying (maybe in the same interview) that since Hugh kept the American accent during working hours, it was always such a surprise to pick up the phone on a weekend and hear his lovely accented voice. I know, I know, let's take a moment to be jealous of the fact she would be receiving a weekend call from Hugh. Sigh.

Boffle- 03-26-2008

Oh, is that Sela on CF interview posted online? Seems I've seen it, but it must hav been a while ago. Thanks for the info. Now, I see, no "parades" for Hugh except perhaps for the Golbaldersham Road in England!!!. Heh!

Chipmunk_love- 03-26-2008

I haven't watched the whole thing yet, but I believe this is the Sela Ward interview.
