The most wonderful thing just popped up. I'm sure all of you are already aware of this extended and delightful interview, but I wasn't. Here's part 1 of Hugh Almighty: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1mgFOOUPnIk MaryKir finally got a copy of it on her site a few months ago. Makes you wonder... But I do love it. The bit about moving Tottem Court Road 6 feet is my favorite for some reason.

Tottenham Court Road, I believe, just to be all pedantic about it. :-)

Tottenham Court Road, I believe, just to be all pedantic about it. :-) I hope it doesn't get moved too far. TCR (& thereabouts) is home of my all time favorite restaurant, Wagamama. I literally cannot hear the words Tottenham Court Road without drooling and thinking....."yum, that's the tube stop for Wagamama. Yuuuuuuum." When I lived in London there was but one location and it was still pretty new. I just looked it up; now there's 80+ locations worldwide, including 2 in Boston. I had literally no idea. So Hugh....go easy on your godlike powers.

The one on Streatham Street, Bailey? That was also the first Wagamama I ever went to, more than ten years ago. God the novelty. Sharing long tables. And the queuing down into the basement *nostalgia trip* Now it feels like there's one on every corner. I now return you to your regular scheduled Hugh discussion.

Hugh's children in his Xmas commercial??? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1VAeKZN_Zxk&NR=1

Hugh's children in his Xmas commercial??? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1VAeKZN_Zxk&NR=1 The boy looks younger than the girl, so I'd say not.. but it's hard to tell, the video is fuzzy. Adorable ad though, thanks for sharing. :)

I don't think those are his kids, his boys are dark headed not blonde.. Cheers for the yummy snippet of Hugh tho :)

That's okay, I live in an area where locals get misty-eyed over the first Starbucks location. Heh. Bailey, he doesn't want it moved at all. Okay, that will teach me to completely misremember the finer details of a Hugh interview! His god was far too benign for that. :)

There are all sorts of impromptu (read: paparazzi) shots of Laurie and a son on the 'Net. His daughter played the young version of the dying professor in Emma Thompson's "Wit". ETA: Paparazzi shots make me queezy....but they are out there and there ain't no denying it. The daughter is actually in a professional performance (presumably permitted by her parents since she couldn't have been more than nine at the time) so I have no problem pointing that out.

That God Almighty interview was great. Loved Clive's take on Hugh's no-criticism rule, "The first three days of the Titanic voyage were great! Good job to that iceberg!" and Hugh's, "As an atheist, I'm at a bit of a disadvantage throughout this whole exercise..."

Sorry, really lame request here. I've switched computers recently and misplaced my link to the detailed site that had numerous John Cleese training films featuring Hugh. Anyone have that handy?

Is this the one you mean? http://www.ideasandtraining.com/Previews.html I'm pretty sure there's another site, because their catalog pages don't look like the ones I remember, but this does have a lot of clips :)

IIRC the site I'm thinking of has preview windows embedded in the page itself. Or I could be completely off my rocker.
