Those pictures of Jo leaving, last year, she was carrying a quilted fabric case like that. If she's with him, 2 suitcases, one tote and one backpack isn't a ton of luggage (although he does usually do the commute with no luggage). If any of the kids are along, then it's very little luggage.
If Jo did come, I say "smart people." The pap are going to find Hugh and take his picture so, if they split up when leaving the plane, Jo could get out of the airport without being pestered (and they could meet up in the car.)

That bag is almost big enough to carry Jo!
That looks like a Vera Bradley bag.
Not much stubble, but I am sure by the time they start filming it will be enough. :)

I think we have discovered that when pics are taken of Hugh at the airport, it is not unusual to find out there is some family member lurking out of sight. Jo was spotted with that flowery piece of luggage before so I imagine it is hers or maybe Hugh has gone gay on us.
Let the stubble please begin.

He's said before that it takes four days to grow in properly.

That kind of makes sense, especially if the second guy in the photos is a driver.
That's the same bag. And, if she had that and two small suitcases last year, it makes sense that the normally case-less Mr. Laurie had so much luggage.
After all, he has his brown boots with him. What else does he need?
I wonder what he does then those boots need new soles or heels? Barefoot? Sneakers from wardrobe?

Wears the other brown boots :) The reddish ones, not the sandy looking ones. Unless the sandy ones are the reddish ones all beat up...

It's Hugh Laurie. He'd never do something so pedestrian as wearing sneakers. He walks on his hands, of course. :D

Actually, in last year's pics that hugeegosorry linked to, he is wearing black boots. But his firm attachment to those brown ones tickles me. Whenever I find a pair of shoes that I like which are comfortable, I wear them until they fall apart.

While I'm sure he can if he wants to (he can do anything), according to the March 2007 TV Guide, the wardrobe department chose Nike Shox because Hugh already liked them. I guess he doesn't wear boots when he's playing tennis.

I can't even find my own luggage at the baggage claim, yet after today, I'm pretty sure I could pick out Jo Laurie's. ;-)

He also apparently wears New Balance 991 or 992's when he boxes. And he wore Addidas when he did SNL.

Here is a longer trailer for Street Kings. I don't think I have seen it here....

I imagine HL probably already has most of what he needs, clothes and such, in his L.A. home and so he probably travels light.
Cool that Jo gets to come over for a vacation, though.

We are assuming that Jo came. Here's another potential scenario:
HL: What do you mean Charlie took my black bag?
Jo: We didn't know when the strike would end. You can take mine. (Holds out her lovely quilted bag)
HL: You're joking.
(Jo continues to hold the bag out)
HL: It's so..... (He rolls his eyes)
Jo: Oh, take it already or I'll put flowers on it!
SF: I think it's quite lovely.... with or without flowers, (takes the bag) and quite roomy, Tiger
HL takes the bag from Stephen
