I think part of that is that he apparently borrowed someone else's tux. The sleeves and pants are much too short. It definitely give him a gawky look.

Seems like he borrowed someone else's shoes, too. He'd be way more comfortable in a nice pair of Shox. Seriously, how can an athletic guy, someone who makes limping look sexy, have such an awkward, lumbering walk in dress clothes?

I like Hugh's geeky, slouchy walk. It's like a giant trying to make himself inconspicuous, folding into himself. Bad posture shouldn't be that cute and yet, it is...

It's just more of Richard's alternate universe being played out. And to be fair to him, I doubt that people who are actually fans/regular readers of his blog are at all confused by anything he says. We wouldn't be confused if, say, Hugh Laurie started blogging nonsense other than just the general confusion of Hugh blogging in the first place.

You're very kind. I take back my words about Richard being sick in the head. He's merely desperately unfunny. Those I suppose someone, somewhere must be getting something out of it since he insists on carrying on about it.
