The volunteer group had a set tour of Mr. Pip in Bougainville.
Here's the article "Star-spotting in Bougainville", but don't expect too much. There's no pic of the Star...
While they were in Pidia the VSA group saw the church, school room and school master’s house that had been specially built for the film, and watched a beach scene featuring local children being filmed. They also spotted Hugh Laurie and musician Tim Finn, who is composing the music for the film.
It seems Hugh chose the best film to shoot in the hiatus; no paparazzi, no crazy fans (like me) prowling around with cameras.
A post on Hugh Laurie Blues Facebook says "The US release of 'Let Them Talk' is expected for the 30th of September ! (Subject to change). You can pre-order it right now !"
Amazon does show it is accepting pre-orders for September 30 release for $11.99. Since that's the date of the PBS show, maybe it's real.
Oddly, Amazon is still showing the import CD available for $10.99!
Surprisingly--at least to me--Amazon is also accepting orders for the deluxe album set, saying it will be released on June 28. Pricey...more than I paid for the one I ordered and received earlier--but last I heard it was sold out.
ETA...Now Amazon is accepting pre-orders for the special album for $35.99 with a September 27 release date.
Here is an interview with Hugh where he talks about the season 7 finale, Lisa”s departure and his career

PS: It”s in french :P

You-hoo. Vicpei! Where are you?
For those of you on twitter, @Visitkarte posted the gist of the article.
To sum it up, just a short overview:
I'm not sure Vicpei can stand reading it, let alone translating it. He says he's fine with the crash scene since the relationship had to end on explosive note. He says House is too self centered to be in a relationship and he is OK with this being the last season, since the work on House was taxing for his marriage. Since they have been some near catastrophes there because of him working on House. He also says that he is actor in the first line, music was a project but not his new main career path.
Rest I wrote is a speculation. I am not sure the interview is real and if it is, how much of it can be real. I have also posted my own private speculations about why this near catastrophes could have happened, but it's just speculation, nothing I know. And I also retweeted some other's speculations I think are plausible.
I am not sure the interview is real and if it is, how much of it can be real.
Why do you think the interview is not real? It seems real to me. Does he say anything that severly contradicts what he has been saying for the past year?
I'm very suspicious of the interview. As near as I can tell, Hugh has been traveling to or in Bouginville since LE's departure was announced a week before 7x23 aired. And the conditions where they are filming don't sound conducive to wasting electricity/bandwidth doing interviews about a season of "House" which isn't even running in France yet. (Right? I thought France is still on S6.) So when would he have done this interview?
eta: parts of the interview might be real answers from previous interviews, parts could be paraphrased from previous interviews,... if this were a UK tabloid, I'd assume they even made up answers based on what Hugh might have said if they'd talked to him :) I don't know the reputation of this magazine though.
In addition to the already stated reasons for suspicion...Even if he were to discuss his marriage publicly--which he rarely, if ever, does--I don't think Hugh would use words such as "catastrophe." Although he has always acknowledged the obvious difficulties in being in LA for such long periods of time, his language has always been very general.
Ok, just for the sake of completion or integrality, so to speak, and even for those who are curious, i have found a full translation here
http://www.twitlonger.com/show/bbjunc . But if what vicpei and the others are saying is true, than they are really despicable. Most certainly he would not talk about his marriage in an interview given to a magazine for teens.
The Oranges
I went to see a movie last night and picked up the Cineplex magazine. There is a Leighton Meester interview in there and she spills that The Oranges is coming out in November.
Not surprising because I think the events in it happen during the Christmas season.
She says the movie is about change and inevitability. She also says it is funny, and in a weird way, a love story.
I know people were wondering about it.
Thanks for that news Hugh_lover. I was getting worried as to why there was no news about this film.
Oh good. Just last night I was wondering how much of a disaster it was if it couldn't get a distributor with that cast. Glad to know it's just a case of looking for the right timing.
