Is Hugh in New Zealand now for Mr. Pip? I believe Mister Pip is being filmed between July 16 & Aug 20. Woah! Does it mean he has taken some real holidays? He certainly deserves holidays. Ad much as he can grab. A beautiful interview with Hugh and a loving reportage: http://www.independent.co.uk/arts-entertainment/music/features/hugh-laurie-on-the-road-with-an-unlikely-blues-legend-2282490.html

As far as I understand the July and August filming date is only for that island (Omarahu?) where HL isn't involved. He might be filming earlier in (or is it on?) Bougainville...

Gobblin- 05-15-2011

He isn't going back to the US to start House Season 8 until the end of August, so I assume he may still be involved with Mister Pip at that point....

OMG! An actual vacation! I didn't think Hugh was capable of going more than 2 weeks without working. I wonder if he'll take some commercial work or narrate a book or something to tide him over. :D

Or he is gonna head up to Fox upfronts before filming M Pip (I seem to recall he was due in New Zealand "next month" last month), then effectively take two weeks before going back to House...the usual.

The man has the energy of ten, vicpei so you might be right. I'm floppping on the sofa with the vapors and needing smelling salts from just reading about all he does!

Or at least he wouldn't fail to meet him.

I love Nina Arianda on it, she steals the two famous colleagues the show. If he doesn't show up, it would be to avoid being seen himself.

Thank you for the blues and jazz album suggestions and links, marykir and BoffleSpoffle. On another note (:D), from time to time I notice in photos and TV appearances that Hugh's suits look bespoke tailored. See here (first pic; I know it's The Daily Mail but it's the only pic large enough); you can see the hand stitching on the lapels. Savile Row, don't you think? Savile Row is a famous street in London full of bespoke tailors (I mention this because I don't know how well known it is outside the UK). The tailors must be delighted to have such a handsome client to wear their suits. :D

He was wearing a particularly nice suit jacket on one of his morning interviews the other day. The brown suede boots still rule, though, judging by last night's "Down by the River." :)

My god, that Jazz guy on Twitter is still harping on about how 'crazy House fangirls' ruined Hugh's live shows & that they were all deeply embarrassed for Hugh especially he said after the Paris show & that they were all 'somber' after the gig. STFU already! Hugh didn't look embarrassed about anything he looked like he was having the time of his life & if he wants to tour he will soon learn people do shout stuff out, granted some people are inappropriate ( I'm thinking of the guy who held up a sign for Pixie Lott at last years V festival asking her to give him a blowjob!!) however I haven't heard of anything 'inappropriate' being shouted at Hugh & I certainly didn't witness any at Warwick.
