Thanks for uploading the pic euphrosyna. There are now 18 pics from the gym on house_cuddy LJ and 4 on the hughlaurie LJ. Good to see Hugh smiling.

iamdaffodils- 11-26-2007

Poor quality or not, I heart that picture. Thanks euphrosyna!

Namaste- 11-26-2007

Geez, those really do have the quality of a camera phone, don't they? You can understand why gyms are banning cell phones these days.

Poeia- 11-26-2007

Either several of those pictures have been flopped or he has a black t-shirt with 1-800-AUTOPSY on it in mirror writing. Regardless, I love them. Thanks.

Boffle- 11-26-2007

It looks like some of them were taken facing into the mirror rather than facing Hugh. Less resistance that way I suppose.

BTW if you want the charity tee HL is wearing, you can buy it here. About the organization: We believe, and state in our motto, "mortis praesdium et vocem dare necesee est." the deceased must be protected and given a voice. By seeking the truth through medical investigation, we fulfill that goal by allowing otherwise hidden information to come to light, even though the deceased can no longer speak for themselves....A significant part of 1-800-AUTOPSY's mission is to broaden society's perspective about the "positive side of death" with respect to transplantable tissue, cadaver-tissue research, and whole body donations.... We are also involved, with the organizations that recycle and redistribute medical appliances that are donated to and given to developing countries.

There are three more Hugh pics here from when he was driving off from his work out.

iamdaffodils- 11-27-2007

Thanks to21be! Sigh.....one thing I'm confused about - were these taken yesterday? I thought these were older.

amysusanne- 11-27-2007

Other pap pics of him in or with the car have been taken/posted in the past, but these are brand new.

He doesn't like the idea of martial arts. When did he say that? I wonder why he's okay with boxing but not martial arts. Martial arts isn't necessarily more brutal. There are some very light martial arts out there that are basically dance or yoga. No chance of getting hit in the face as with boxing. On the other hand, some martial arts are pretty brutal. So much for my dream that we'll spar together one day! I have no interest in boxing and apparently Hugh doesn't like martial arts :( (Never mind the total improbability of that happening anyway - it was just a fantasy of mine.) He looks good all sweaty like that - yum.

Poeia- 11-27-2007

David Letterman interview and possibly other times. He's tired of the reverence of all things Eastern, to the detriment of Western (like they have the exclusive insights.) He referred to it as men in white pajamas standing around and feeling each others' chi. He said that's why he picked boxing.

MissViolet- 11-27-2007

Oh, now I remember that "feeling each other's chi" quote. Thanks, Poeia. It's too bad no-one introduced him to Western martial arts. There aren't a whole lot of them but there is Krav Maga, from Israel, and Systema, from Russia. Neither have any Eastern influence, no pyjamas (in fact, no uniforms at all) and none of that bowing-and-scraping traditionalism that we associate with other martial arts. However, they are both fairly brutal arts. I wonder if there's something in his contract about not taking unecessary physical risks? But then we wouldn't see him in the fast cars and motorcycles, and boxing's not exactly a walk in the park, either. Though it is less dangerous than the Western martial arts. I have to stop fantasizing that Hugh comes to my martial arts school on the night I'm working there and I get to give him the grand tour and explain all the different styles. I'm in NYC for pete's sake, there's no chance at all Hugh will ever stop in at my school. And RSL doesn't seem to be into physical exertion (beyond cutting up fruit salad) as far as I can tell. Also there's the fact that RSL and I had lived in the same neighborhood for so many years and I have never run into him. Which is so sad, considering that my neighborhood is kind of small and intimate. (I don't know where he lives nowadays since he bought his own place but he used to live in the West Village). Well, a girl can dream.

In the porsche pics I noticed that he still hasnt had the dent and scratches fixed since the last set of photos were taken.

So, um, not meaning to brag or anything, but I got my copy of AONAA in the mail today. Pre-order. Free shipping. Go figure.

Boudleaux- 11-27-2007

Mine is still saying that the carrier has been notified to pick up the package. But I find the tracking business on Amazon as amusing and confusing as their shipping schedule. Half of the time it tells me my package (not this one obvs.) is in Des Moines or Memphis and it is actually sitting on my front porch (which is not located in either Des Moines or Memphis).
