I wonder if there's a chance Hugh might appear on the live Stand Up 2 Cancer thing tonight? But it's probably the same time as the Leno taping, and also reminder everyone, Hugh on Leno tonight!

The Times paywall is down so the SF HL article is viewable online here.
ETA: The video is an interview where SF describes his Dr Who script. They have to do this!

Neither he nor any of the rest of the House cast were on the lists of celebs I've seen so far.

I'm still getting the paywall :(

I just want to tell those of you in other time zones, make sure to catch EVERY minute of The Tonight Show. Do not start watching when you think the monologue will end.
Make that, do not start watching when you think the opening credits will end.

In other words, just go ahead and watch your evening news. You don't want to miss a thing.

Can't you even give us a hint in the spoilers thread??? I'm on the west coast!
Poeia- 09-10-2010
They do a "bit" that is on in the first few seconds of the show. Cute. Not Hugh -- he's not cute, he's GORGEOUS.
ETA: I LOVE THAT MAN! I know I usually keep that a secret but I felt I should admit it once in a while.
hughsblues- 09-10-2010
Totally with you there Poeia! Sometimes it's good to let it out!
He was gorgeous and witty and funny and wonderful and...other words? Anyone?
Bea- 09-10-2010
Oh wow, I actually caught Hugh's appearance by accident, I'm so happy ;)!
I thought I would have to wait until someone uploads it, but then I got impatient and checked out a livesteam, not really expecting it to work and not even knowing if it was the right time (time difference and all) and 2 minutes later Hugh came out, what a coincidence!
He's so charming, eloquent and funny and it all seems to come naturally to him ;).
Also, I was right about the idea behind the clown promo photo, yay! ;)
ETA: Was that all his natural hair? If it was, I don't see what all the fuss is about, he doesn't need a hairpiece, his bald spot isn't bad at all.
Boffle- 09-10-2010
Still twoo hours away. But thanks for the tips. I will see the news for the first time in ages! OK, I love Hugh so much now, I can't possibly love him a single bit more. Right? ;->
Poeia- 09-10-2010
His bald spot isn't a spot any more -- it's basically the entire top of his head. The tousled look disguises it well. When he had his hair short last year it was very visible.

Wanna bet?
hughsblues- 09-10-2010
Well Boffle...I think you might love him even more after this if possible! There's just too much adorableness!

Oh no, you should see the men in my family... HL's at least got some hair left above his forehead, that's not bald ;).
As long as you're looking at him from the front, you wouldn't notice any baldness. Plus, he's so tall, if I was to stand next to him in person (I wish!), I wouldn't be able to spot any bald patches anyway, because it's well-hidden among the remaining hair, unless you're looking down on his head from above ;).

I've posted a video of the Leno appearance in the spoiler thread.

On a different topic, in the print version of EW this week, Hugh is picked in a reader poll for a dream cast for "The Hunger Games." (It's a book series.) He was picked over Robert Downey Jr. for the character of Haymitch. (RDJ is a bit too young anyway, I think.)
