Career after House
After a long break with tons of interview requests, I hope to see the Hugh-mania die down. Then I'd love to see him re-emerge, almost as a surprise, as the lead in a motion picture in a totally unexpected role. Something unique, Oscar-worthy, and not light or a comedy. The accent & character will be a surprise, even to his fans. I have no doubt there are film-makers with plans sitting on something with him in mind.

I love that idea itissunny especially if he writes The Paper Soldier (or something) during that long break as well as guesting on more great albums a la the Meatloaf gig. Love his delicate touch on the ivories.

Hugh and Stephen on TV AM in 1990 If you need a particular reason to watch, here's a quote: "Hugh is my sergeant major, my matron, my girlfriend, my one night stand all rolled into one. He's everything." And... go.

Usually he seemed to just slump into the sofa and let SF do most of the talking.

Cheers Chippers Ah, crappy TV AM how i miss thee. It looks like the boys have just fallen out of bed....mmm Hugh bed head  I love these two together and miss them terribly

DOB1234, I thought the same thing about how I don't recall ever seeing Hugh being this chatty in an interview with Stephen. Loved that quote from Stephen about Hugh being everything to him.

And Stephen is just a phone number on a piece of paper to Hugh. :D

And Stephen is just a phone number on a piece of paper to Hugh. :D  Or when the interviewer asked if they were close, and Hugh put his hand on his face and goes "Not this again," haha. When Stephen mentioned arriving on a motorcycle for an interview, I just thought I would love to see him ride a motorcycle. I don't know. It was just something I never really pictured him doing. I wonder if Hugh had gotten him into motorcycles. Stephen as rationalist father instead of godfather. That makes sense for them. What was the interviewer talking about when he said something about reading that Stephen is the most dangerous man to know. Hugh was like "What have you been reading?" I miss interviews between these two.

Maybe Hugh liked the pretty petite brunette Scottish interviewer. She had a lovely accent and thought they were hilarious. He seemed to perk up a bit. Chemistry. When it's there, it's there. :-) Loved this interview. So dry and charming and witty. Rationalist father. I so adore them.

Maybe Hugh liked the pretty petite brunette Scottish interviewer. That's Lorraine Kelly. She still presents a breakfast TV show (GMTV with Lorraine on ITV1). She said she found HL attractive in Maybe Baby. One well-known fan already wowed by Hugh's performance in the movie is GMTV host and Sun columnist Lorraine Kelly. She admitted to looking at Hugh in "a whole new way" after seeing the film and even dubbed him "Britain's newest sex symbol." "And at the end of the day, when you've got Lorraine Kelly swooning all over you. you know you've arrived!" - Ben Elton Quotes from HughLaurieFAQ

Is the picture for real? And is he back in London two weekends in a row?

Is the picture for real? And is he back in London two weekends in a row? It would seem. I think he seems to be in London longer than usual because SPOILERthey're filming a Cuddy-centric episode, so he may have filmed all of his scenes already and is enjoying the extended break /SPOILER.

I think he seems to be in London longer than usual because SPOILERthey're filming a Cuddy-centric episode, so he may have filmed all of his scenes already and is enjoying the extended break /SPOILER. that would make sense. Although he was definitely back on set filming after he went to Edinburgh. I guess he hopped back on the plane and headed back to London for the extended weekend and then some. That's assuming this picture was just taken and it is not an older picture. I am surprised about the black eye because I thought Hugh said, which would make sense, that his contract would not allow him to get his face hit while boxing. I guess I am making assumptions this happened while boxing.

Namaste- 11-27-2009

I don't think his contract says anything about not being able to spar or not being to be hit in the face (since I don't think details of his contract have ever been made public). HL has joked, however, about sparring and telling the other person to not hit him on the face because he's on TV. On other topics, how nice has it been to see that "Executive Producer Hugh Laurie" credit broadcast clearly the last few episodes?
