He's in the 100 Sexiest Men Video. I assume that means he's in the issue. The issue date is supposed to be November 14, which means it will probably be on newsstands by Friday.

I wonder if he will be a highlighted sexy man and not just a little headshot like the last two years

Does everyone know what Belgium means here? Sorry if you do - but Stephen was doing a play with one of The Young Ones guys, lost it and fled to Belgium. And in proof as to what a great BFF Hugh is - all he said when Stephen called him up a week later (after everyone - a la Ben Elton and his mother - had been going nuts trying to find him) was 'Belgium - why the heck Belgium?'. If I'm not mistaken, Stephen met his partner, Daniel, during that trip. edited by GG to remove extra tag

Well that explains it. But now the question I ask is what was Daniel doing in Belgium?

TrooperCam- 11-04-2007

Chasing Stephen?? So what was the answer to why Belgium?

I don't think there's anything wrong with posting a link to a bogus article, like the one in NE. I like to see what's out there. And its kind of funny to see what they come up with. I was watching a former NE reporter on tv recently who blantantly said they just make stuff up out of thin air, around a kernel of truth, and add specific details to make it seem true. Its their MO. And last time I checked he doesn't drive a jeep to work? Research man! Re: sweat tea . . . I visited nashville and had it for the first time proper. Love IT. But I'm not allowed. I can't have caffine or calories, so I'm basically SOL :(

Points are well taken regarding tabloids. Hugh does drive a Jeep SUV though. Now, I should probably properly introduce myself somewhere. :)

Happy Thanksgiving! ... All or Nothing At All is being released on DVD. Amazon.com preorder. Thanks to Tegabee for pointing this out over on the Devoted to Hugh forum. That has made my day. I've seen it via the webby installments and it was really compelling even with the wonkyness of the last ep. HL was so great in it (and fitter than hell), you just can't help loving Leo; even as he is lying and cheating and swindling his way through just about everyone, you catch your breath and hope he gets away with it. Excellent, excellent news.

I know Hugh gets paid a fortune, but it must also be a lot of responsibility and I would understand if he needed to go to Belgium for a little while. And that hat is always a bad sign - remember the sailing thing. Yup. In fact, in his position, I can't imagine not ever visiting Belgium. Not that I put a whole lot of stock in the National Enquirer, but to be fair to them, they actually do get quite a few things right. And, to be honest, this explanation sounds far more likely than the curing depression by flying to England bit. Could be right, could be wrong. Oh well. Bailey, it scares me how often I agree with you. :) This is one time I'd love to be able to say I don't but...One thing, whether this story is right or wrong, it did make me realize for the first time what it must mean for Hugh to be away from his family and close friends for such long stretches of time. IIRC, one reason Stephen had his meltdown was the longtime lack of someone to go home to and talk about whatever was going on. (At that time, he was still in his celibate phase that lasted, what? 13-14 years?) Now Hugh is kind of in that same boat for most of the year. I guess I never really thought seriously about what that must mean, to work like a dog and, at the end of the day, not have a loved one to turn to. It's been commented elsewhere that Hugh looked like he was tired in the most recent crop of press conference pics - I thought so myself. Also, more and more we seem to be reading about his involvement with the show, in terms of working with the writers and directors besides his own acting duties. And of course there's that interview where he says he can't turn off. Perhaps it's all really starting to wear on him. The NE story bothers me quite a lot, as it's not-good behavior seemingly out of character for the character I had built up from previous information. And I've wondered far too much about what could have caused such a clash. But the man is definitely under huge stress, and that's just with what we know is happening on the surface. I hope everything works out OK.

All or Nothing At All is being released on DVD. That's fantastic news! Yay. Now if I wish hard enough maybe they'll officially release "fortysomething" as well.

MaryIsobel- 11-04-2007

And I've wondered far too much about what could have caused such a clash. Nothing to do with Hugh, but...haven't you ever wanted to yell at KJ??? I know I have--but then I don't have HL's reputation for good manners.....  I guess what I mean is I have not idea what could cause HL to behave that way but I have no trouble imagining how such a clash could come about in the context of the show...does that make sense?
