God, I hate those niggling questions that can't be answered with any degree of certainty. I don't know...I'm sure some woman he's slept with can't handle her booze and starts lettin' the secrets fly when you get a few shots in her. Dibs on Emma. Though something tells me it'll take more than just a few shots. I can handle it, though. Drinking games with Emma Thompson sounds like a great way to pass a weekend. And maybe a Monday. And a little bit of Tuesday. Speaking of women who like Hugh (but not in *that* way), the new EW spotlights Portia de Rossi in their, well, "Spotlight" column. The little sidebar is a list of "the boldfaced names that de Rossi can't get enough of". Hugh is listed first. The blurb: I was a huge fan from "Blackadder". Then I saw him in <"House"> and I couldn't believe it was the same person. Monday's print edition of The Hollywood Reporter included a two page ad thanking pretty much anyone who's ever been involved with the show. Seriously. Hugh is included.

Just stumbled across this: http://www.onlineopinion.com.au/view.asp?article=6585 I love this part: The most interesting of the five supporting characters is his only friend and professional equal, Wilson (Robert Sean Leonard). Wilson loves House dearly, which, luckily for House, assures his tenure, as Wilson is also on the board of the hospital. :D

Huh? Do you mean some random fan just paid for such an ad? Wow. No, it was an official ad. Monday's edition was honoring the 100th episode and was full of ads and articles on the show. That one's from the producers.

Huh? Do you mean some random fan just paid for such an ad? Wow. No, it was an official ad. Monday's edition was honoring the 100th episode and was full of ads and articles on the show. Are you sure? It's nowhere near the 100th episode. Twenty two episodes the first year, 24 each in the next two seasons. They won't hit 100 until sometime next season.

Yeah, I'm sure. I'm sitting here looking at the magazine and have been seeing the ads all week. This Sunday they are airing the 100th episode. http://www.epguides.com/familyguy/

Yeah, I'm sure. I'm sitting here looking at the magazine and have been seeing the ads all week. This Sunday they are airing the 100th episode. http://www.epguides.com/familyguy/ Oh, Family Guy. I'm pretty sure everyone thought you were talking about House and wondering how we got up to 100 episodes already.

Silja- 11-02-2007

Amysusanne, you didn't mention Family Guy. I'm fairly sure we all thought you were speaking of House

sherlockjr- 11-02-2007

Amysusanne, you didn't mention Family Guy. I'm fairly sure we all thought you were speaking of House  Not me. I thought you were talking about the Ellen DeGeneres Show. But then, to quote the immortal Chico Marx, I no look-a so close.

amysusanne- 11-02-2007

Amysusanne, you didn't mention Family Guy. I'm fairly sure we all thought you were speaking of House Well, that explains that. The link to the relevant half of the ad got clipped in the original post. I accidentally linked it as an image, went back and edited and apparently rendered it invisible via crappy tags. oops. Guess it would have made a lot more sense with that there, I suppose... direct link: http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b141/amysusanne/Picture0251.jpg

She'll find if he speaks only in Taiwanese when he comes. Maybe we could have used the word "arrived" instead? Because my mind just went all dirty... And we all know he only speaks with a British accent "in the act of love". 8) sorry, I just love giving random Hugh quotes. Reading that Australian guy's article, (in which he gives that backhanded "compliment" to English people; what is it about Brits and Aussies anyway!) I'm once again reminded how rare it is to see an actor so universally praised. I wonder if one human critic exists who doesn't love him. And if he/she does exist, they prolly just forgot to take their meds.

Are they using the Jeeves and Wooster theme music for the new V8 commercial?

idonmatrix- 11-03-2007

NE stories are fairly accurate given that they have a penchant for getting sued. I didn't the NE article speaks to uh huh and your point was? However, I do think it certainly adds credence to RSL's EW comments that the show is sort of eating HL alive. I think HL is an extraordinary actor who works so very, very hard. These type of stories just make me love him more. I can tolerate any kind of behavior from my fav actors except child abuse and drug addiction.

olivia720- 11-03-2007

Forgive my differing, but NE stories are often crap. I don't know the ratio of crap to truthy stories, but there's a lot of fiction being written. I agree def about the "and your point was?" sentiment. Yeah thanks for the Newsflash, NE! Maybe the writers' strike will give Hugh a nice rest. I have no idea how far in advance the scripts are written. Steven Fry posted again on his blog, FYI.
