HHoW You Doin'?: HHoW turns 3 today
Well, today is our 3rd birthday and as always we have an open thread for a week where people can comment, give us suggestions and just generally give their thoughts about life on the board. This has been a tough year for HHoW on many levels just as it was for the show/fandom. We've seen departures, new arrivals, sadness, euphoria, griping, celebrating, discontent, and satisfaction. It's essentially been a year of change. There's been a lot of frustration about the show in some quarters and frustration about the frustration in others. It's been particularly difficult for the mods to keep the peace and help the board find equilibrium. It's all been rather exhausting, hasn't it? But that said, I'm glad we're still here and sharing this journey together. HHoW is full of intelligent, funny and passionate people from all over the world. It's a privilege to share thoughts and time with you all. I would be remiss if I didn't thank the hardest working moderatin' team in show biz: Poeia, arizonamyrie, extra_cat, Hail the Random, galaxygirl, radiosweetheart and sautomne. Ladies, you are everything and everything is you. You help me keep my sanity on this board and in life. Thank you and big heaping love. Congrats! I know I'm not an avid poster. I'm an avid lurker though. I read threads here on a daily basis and this site is one of my obligatory daily "Hugh-and-House" stops. I'm one of those people who were extremely frustrated with the overwhelmingly negative and hostile tone that dominated HHOW a bit over a year ago. I think you've managed to kill most of the extreme bitterness that went through all topics like a red thread and in its place you brought back focus, balance & good discussions. So a big YAY! from me. You've all done splendid work. :D

Three years, wow, that really is an accomplisment. This forum has always felt very safe and warm to me, even if sometimes opinions differ quite drastically. Big, big thank you to all of the mods, especially to those who are not all that into House anymore. :urock: I am very much looking forward to coming here for some more seasons. Lang leve HHOW, hoera, hoera, hoera!

As a lurking lurker who lurked for two of those three years I'd just like to thank you all for the work you do keeping us all pretty much on the straight and narrow in the discussion and celebration of all things House. Happy birthday!

Happy Birthday, HHoW! Through all the frustrations, this is still one of the first sites I check every morning, and it's still one to which I refer House fans. Congratulations on three years!!

Happy birthday to us all! (including the lurkers: please join in sometimes!) For me this has been a hard year as I've gone up and down in my enjoyment of the show. The ups well outweigh the downs now, though, so I'm still aboard and looking forward to another season of my favorite show. Looking ahead, I'd like to offer this thought: personally, I think it would be a good thing if we tried a little harder to treat each other with respect at all times and with some extra gentleness, kindness, tolerance and such especially when we disagree. Stating one's own opinion as fact is hard to take when you're on the other side as is mocking, well, anyone or anyone's sensitivities. We will never all see the show the exact same way, but it is fun to share other ideas and learn from each other. I doubt if anyone will change anyone else's mind, but I'd hope we are open enough to at least enjoy the discussions we are so passionate about. jonne, I too would like to thank the mods, because as exhausted as some of us get with things, I am sure they are ten times more so, especially those who aren't enjoying the show like they used to. Even though I haven't always agreed with all your choices, I can honestly deeply commend you for your efforts and thank you all for the work you do to make this a fair and friendly place. Cheers!

Happy Birthday HHoW! It's my favorite House site and I don't know what I'd do without it. Excellent post Boff! I want to add my thanks to the mods. I know the job you do is difficult and exhausting, but you keep things running smoothly, and you deserve a pat on the back for a job well done.
