Also when they showed the janitor dressed as a doctor, I swear someone (House maybe?) called him Dr. Buffer.

Fox has posted a clip from the s4 premier on its website featuring a guitar-playing House & Cuddy, and why House can't hire a team based on a 10 minute interview. Top right hand corner at http://www.fox.com/house/ Also, from Ausiello has full details. Michael Michele has just been tapped to scrub in as a guest on the show - she isn't coming in as a series regular so far. House meets the "CIA medicine woman when he's called to the agency to care for a patient. She wows him with her bedside manner, and wham, bam, thank-you-ma'am, he invites her to come work for him at PP." (yes, Ausiello has a lovely turn of phrase.)

From futoncritic WITHOUT THE HELP OF A TEAM, HOUSE SCRAMBLES TO DIAGNOSE A WOMAN AFTER A BUILDING COLLAPSES ON HER ON THE SEASON PREMIERE OF "HOUSE" TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 25, ON FOX When an office building collapses, House has to work fast to diagnose a young woman, Megan, who survived the disaster. Due to her injuries, Megan's only form of communication is blinking. House, without a team since Foreman and Cameron quit and he fired Chase, talks through his ideas with a janitor at the hospital. As Megan's condition worsens, Cuddy puts pressure on House to hire a new team, but House defiantly ignores her, and Wilson resorts to desperate measures and hits House where he knows it will hurt. As House persists in diagnosing Megan by himself, he realizes that the case is not what it appears, and that solitude may not be the answer in the "Alone" episode of HOUSE. Guest Cast: Liliya Toneva as Liz; Kay Lenz as Mrs. Bradberry; Conor Dubin as Ben; Bevin Prince as Megan; Pat Millicano as Leon; Kathryn Adams as Young Doctor; Ken Takemoto as Sam Lee; Leo Vargas as Male Nurse; Maurice Godin as Dr. Hourani; Xhercis as Imelda; Shannon McClung as Doug; Bobbin Bergstrom as Nurse.

From US Magazine's Secrets of Prime-Time TV: http://usmagazine.com/secrets_of_fall_tv_ugly_betty (as you may have guessed from the URL, that also contains Ugly Betty spoilers) House: We left off with Dr. Greg House (Hugh Laurie)’s medical team disintegrated as Foreman (Omar Epps) left for calmer pastures, Chase (Jesse Spencer) got fired and Cameron (Jennifer Morrison) resigned. Now it's time to play Survivor, House-style. “He hires 40 people, plays head games with them, then fires 37,” creator David Shore tells Us. One keeper: an enigmatic woman (Olivia Wilde) to whom he assigns number 13. “House isn’t good with names, and he can’t figure her out anyway,” Shore explains (Kal Penn is No. 6) The doc’s former students do gradually return to the hospital, but in new capacities. “We’re not House’s subordinates anymore,” Morrison tells Us. Speaking of exes, Cameron and Chase won’t hook up again. “They’re in different departments and don’t connect as much,” says Shore, adding jokingly that despite the pair’s real-life split, “I’d put them together just to bug them!”

Ahhh. I found out from a House spoiler site that: Foreman's the last to return. A few episodes in, he gets canned from his fancy job at Mercy Hospital and comes crawling back. This makes me extreamly happy.

The clips shown in the TV Guide fall preview program from House S4E1 include a little more of the scene with House playing guitar in his office. The very last clip they use in the House segment has House playing a loud riff on his guitar, then Cuddy walks over and unplugs the guitar. edit: clip & screencaps now here

And another new promo, with lots of new bits: http://www.marykir.com/hl/house/s4promos.htm#ad9Sep

marykir- 09-10-2007

Tidbits from the Sep. 17th TV Guide: <*>House insists his (non-existent) team is fine that way it is. "We use a few scare tactics to convince him otherwise," Edelstein reports. <*>To find 3 new docs, House makes 40 jump through hoops. <*>In one scene, House snuffs Bunsen burners, Survivor torch-style. In another scene, he offers red roses to a chosen few, Bachelor style. All of which, says Edelstein, "comes as a complete surprise to Cuddy, who has no idea House is treating grown-up doctors like this." <*>House thinks his mind is playing tricks when he begins seeing CCF around the hospital. <*>Cameron has been reassigned to the ER. <*>Chase now works in surgery. <*>Foreman's last back and comes crawling back to Cuddy. <*>By mid-season, House will have 2-3 new staff members <*>"It's still the same show," Shore says. "New season, new faces--same agenda." In addition to the 2 page publicity photo + article, there's a full page ad with Hugh/House playing cane guitar. The same picture used on the billboard(s?) in LA, if you've seen those pictures.

New interview with HL & Katie Jacobs with some small spoilers HL interview Excerpt - ......."Of course, House doesn't really want a new team, so he'll make it hell for anyone to fit in with him. "He has many devious means of inflicting psychological torture. Every candidate, every team of candidates gets their own specific torment that they have to go through." Jennifer Morrison, Omar Epps and Jesse Spencer still make appearances, keeping them employed. "They're glimpsed rather like a sort of Hamlettian ghost. They sort of flit through and the question is are they in my head or are they real." Executive producer Katie Jacobs confirmed that they will rejoin the show in full capacity. Perhaps House will finally have to swallow some pride to get them back. "I don't know about that. I honestly don't know how it's going to all pan out. That'll be around show six or seven. We're a long way off that yet but I don't know. I guess so."

IMDB updated the cast list for "Alone" to include an additional character not mentioned in the fox press release, Henry Dobson (played by Carmen Argenziano) - looks like this may be the name of the janitor. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1081396/fullcredits#cast

Ranee- 09-12-2007

From TVGUIDE.COM Episode description for "Alone" House is working solo (with some diagnostic help from a hospital janitor) as Season 4 begins. While Cuddy and Wilson nag him to hire a new team, he must treat a young woman who was injured in an explosion. But her injuries aren't what's killing her. Indeed, her repeated crises, each of which House treats successfully, seem to be caused by personal behaviors that baffle her boyfriend. Meanwhile, House's new prized possession, a 1967 Gibson Flying V guitar, is missing.
