There's also a new clip up on Fox.com, where HL and LE sit around awkwardly as RSL looks dazed and talks about episode one of the season without saying anything we don't know already. I JUST REALIZED THE POLLS ON THE HOUSE WEBSITE WERE TAKEN OFF WITH THE NEW DESIGN! QUEL TRAGEDIE!

Ranee- 10-10-2007

Siriusly, check the front page of the fox site, there was a House poll there last week, about the newbies vs bringing back the old team - the latter of which won resoundingly. Thanks, donkeykong & also, tvguide review and EW review which has a good handle on the flaws in the ep.

The unedited RSL interview is...different. Hilarious in its own way, but different. Comparing his family to tarantulas?! Heh. I get the feeling that RSL would rather chew off his own foot than do publicity. It's damn sporting of him to do it anyway. An insider like donkeykong would know better, but I'm pretty sure some level of publicity would be required in RSL's contract.

I disagree slightly with your last statement: that EW review was pretty weak and almost entirely focused on trivialities and why any change in formula is a bad thing. Though I did love the comment from Jack Bauer

For some silliness, you can read the comments on this Gawker post about George Clooney defending some NJ nurses who broke privacy rules by reading his file. Naturally, House was invoked. Gawker's a NY-based news site for people who work in Media/Communications, plus random gossip, Lulz, and heavy on the snark.

I don't think they're required to do PR, however, if one does it, it's good for the show, which is good for its ratings which is good for the shows longevity which is good for the wallet. So it would be dumb not to. In the beginning they're dying for someone to talk to, now the show is so big everyone wants a piece so i guess it varies.

donkeykong, what's the status on the strike? Do you need gloves to avoid splinters when hoisting the signs? Have those corporate bastards caved yet?

tv.com has a video up from the FSMA dinner earlier this week. It focuses on SMA, not the show really, other than as a platform to raise awareness. Comments from Garrett Lerner, Lisa & Omar, Jennifer (with Jesse), Katie Jacobs & David Shore, Garrett's son Zeke. You can see Hugh talking in the background during some of the comments.

TV Guide Channel's The 411 includes House in their "big 5 countdown." That's 3 out of 3 countdowns this season. TV Watercooler also talks briefly about "97 Seconds" then their "extra cheese" bit is about Hugh's dad being an Olympic gold medalist, Hugh rowing for Cambridge, and how we can all be thankful Hugh got mono.

olivia720- 10-13-2007

Thanks for posting the tv.com clip. Too bad no Hugh talking. Love how lisa interrupts Omar when he's talking. The woman likes to talk. Its like, hey the mikes in his face now, its his turn!

DOB1234- 10-13-2007

Jennifer and Jesse didn't look like people who have broken up. They just looked like a couple.

E!'s The Soup includes a segment (toward the end) about House this week, poking fun at the diagnostic skills required when a patient sticks a knife in an electrical outlet. There's also a brief glimpse of House in the intro, followed by a guy saying "you have to have that mother like you" :)

Boffle- 10-13-2007

a guy saying "you have to have that mother like you" And of course he is a good ass mother-liker! (that's what you were referring to, right, marykir?)

marykir- 10-14-2007

I wasn't referring to anything but The Soup. You can judge for yourself how clever they were. Fox & Friends Sunday did a 4 minute segment on Hugh. Nothing earth-shattering, mostly about how he's English, a comedian, does a great American accent, and isn't like House :) They do mention ABoF&L as well as House, which is unusual. That season pass finally paid off.
