MyFoxLa just posted a bunch of interviews from last week's screening, HL, JS, OW, DS, LE and RSL. I only watched the RSL one, nothing spoilery at all, but I don't know really about the others. http://www.myfoxla.com/dpp/entertainment/television/House_Season_Six_20090921

From the LA Times, an audio slide show/behind the scenes from "Broken" based on the set design and decoration.

TV Guides 15 TV Duos Who Should Do It House and Cuddy (Hugh Laurie and Lisa Edelstein), House "Oh my God, House and Cuddy need to do it (for real this time, please)! All that bickering, sexual banter and chemistry can only result in some hot love-making. Besides, I think they would be really good together — you know, the kind of 'dysfunctional good.'" — siiimise

Sela Ward is on the cover of More magazine this month. They asked her to talk about her leading men over the years. Re: HL "Hugh is a perfectionist, very hard on himself. It wasn't a set of laughter. I hate medical stuff. I was with my mother in hospitals for nine years. Hugh has always had a heavy load - lots of dialogue and medicalese, and in an American accent. But he's brilliant. No, my character isn't coming back - they can't have House happy." I don't think her character could make House happy even if she did come back!

Seems that is pretty much a nail in the coffin of Stacy coming back. I'm not surprised about the comment of "it's not a set of laughter" although it probably has lightened up some.

Never say never. They could always bring her back in a later season. As of this time, she's not coming back. Hey, look at all the people that came back for ER's final season!

I believe this says it perfectly. EW online review of Epic Fail Yes, Please! Mod Note: The comments contain spoilers so read 'em at your own risk. And yes, you would have needed to be living under a rock to miss this spoiler, but it's a spoiler nonetheless.

The review itself also refers to spoilers. (Though a different one.)

This isn't the first time SW complained about working on House. In an interview while she was filming there she talked about how much fun she had working on her previous series vs the working atmosphere on the House set. She's the only actor I can recall complaining about working on House, so I don't know if she is the most frank or just didn't fit in well with that group.

I was wondering about this too - everyone says he's hard on himself but that he's lovely and super nice to everyone on the set. You may be right about her not fitting in with that crowd, but who can tell. People have different working styles.

I recall a Craig Ferguson interview in which Hugh admitted he'd started seeing a therapist again just to talk things out because his being hard on himself had an affect on other people, which could have been about that time -- as the show's really hitting it big and he felt a lot of pressure. That was about the same time that the KJ quote came out about a guest director wondering why it was that he saw Hugh sitting on a curb berating himself, and their reply was: Oh, don't worry, that happens every day. Not that she was mocking Hugh, but rather noting that it was normal to be hard on himself, but they all accepted it was normal for him. So it sounds like Hugh, being Hugh, figured he should find another way to channel some of that into other directions. Whether it was really affecting other people or not, he felt he could handle it better or they've all found the right working balance.

I remember reading a while ago that Hugh got upset with Sela on her first day of filming because she couldn't remember her lines. I can imagine that being frustrating at the end of the season, when he would have probably been at his most overworked. The source was the girlfriend of a crew member, which I know doesn't sound reliable. But I also remember she produced a picture of an invite to the wrap party and knew little details about the show in advance that made her a convincing source.

Hugh said in an interview during the first season that he was hard to work with because he didn't think laughter had a place while you were working. It was something like, You're either working or you're enjoying yourself, it can't be both at once. Which alwasy seemed to me to explain the lack of blooper reels in the DVD sets: he just doesnt crack up much on set--except with RSL. (And in the one scene with Sela Ward in the first blooper reel, she cracks herself up when she blows a line, but it doesnt seem to amuse him nearly as much.)

I don't think Hugh is entirely to blame for the atmosphere on the set. I remember reading an interview with JS in which he said there was tension on the set because of the shooting schedule, and the fact that they were so often behind schedule.

The source used to post at "the other place". In addition to not knowing her lines, I seem to recall her saying Sela would want to do repeated takes of scenes which Hugh also got frustrated about.
