Nothing really new in the David Shore interview on Fox Movie Channel, but more background on things we already knew about (Paul Attanasio had the original "what doneit" medical procedural concept, he and Katie Jacobs brought in DS as their partner in developing it, though he was officially a "consultant" on their then-series "Century City" to pay him during the development process), and his view on the writing process. ("Write, write and write some more.") When he came to LA to try his hand at writing after five years of practicing law ("I wore a suit every day for five years") he initially focused on comedy, and wrote a spec script for LA Law to practice dramatic writing, and that's the one that got him an agent. He also talked a little about hiring HL and reiterated his thinking that people don't change, but they want to change, and they strive to change, and they examine their lives, and it's that process that's interesting.

I liked the interview! It was pretty interesting. Nothing earth shattering kinda like you said namaste but hearing him talk about his career was nice and there were cool pics shown throughout. I bet DS loved the early personal pics of him they chose to use! I feel like we've all had that slightly strange over the shoulder graduation photo taken. Except maybe for Hugh. I'm pretty convinced no pictures of him exist before he went to college cause they sure as hell haven't shown up anywhere I've seen!

Except maybe for Hugh. I'm pretty convinced no pictures of him exist before he went to college cause they sure as hell haven't shown up anywhere I've seen! Yes. Well. Namaste and I will be in Oxford around the same time. I'm sure we'll go all Holmes and Watson on the town's ass looking for good pics. :D

hughsblues- 03-08-2009

Yes. Well. Namaste and I will be in Oxford around the same time. I'm sure we'll go all Holmes and Watson on the town's ass looking for good pics. I never ask people to bring me back something when they go away but...um...I've decided I want you to bring me back a pre Cambridge picture of Hugh. And no pressure or anything but you know...make it your most important mission.

And when hughsblues says "bring me back" I"m sure she means "bring us back" such photo(s). I mean, I'm just guessing. ;->

Hooray for good reputations for Jesse Spencer and Jennifer Morrison! Listening to radio this morning, and the DJs were commenting on gossip that Hayden P. is being a diva on the set of Heroes regarding her breakup with Milo V. One DJ remarked that it was a shame she couldn't be more professional "like those two actors on House who broke up and have handled the situation so well" since then.

house_daily has outtakes from a photoshoot with JM, LE, OE, OW, and Katie Jacobs.

House, Chase & Foreman all make TV Guide's Hottest Doctors list. Heck if I can figure out which order these go in. (Or why they included Temperance Brennan from "Bones" in there. She's a PhD, not an MD. Oh well.)

LA Times reports that Peter Rice is now to head up the Fox television network replacing Peter Ligouri.

USA Today story on the season in general and specifically about the three upcoming episodes with one non-specific reference to something they're shooting now. General spoilers for upcoming episodes. (I'm mostly unspoiled -- just the episode summaries released by Fox and preview clips, and it didn't really have anything I didn't already know.) Also a non-spoiler also in USA Today on why "House" and so many other shows rely on bloody scenes, especially bleeding on or near the face: From a dramatic standpoint, blood is potent, House executive producer David Shore says. "Seeing a monitor flash a 6, or something like that, and every doctor in America goes, 'Oh, that's terrible,' is not as dramatic as blood dripping out of somebody's eye."

radiosweetheart- 03-16-2009

Shore acknowledges it is difficult to take care of so many characters but notes that he would rather have viewers say they saw too little rather than too much of them. :sherlock: A clue. He should get him one. How does he even say that sort of thing with a (presumably) straight face.

I've been following Sara Hess ever since she said #1 and LE were the cutest auctioneers she has ever seen. This cracked me up. I think this woman is probably a lot of fun to be around: Out at a show with Friedman, sitting in front of the "Bones" cast and thinking about starting a rumble.

I also posted this in the JMo thread, some pics of Jennifer Morrison doing a charity run: http://wireimage.com/ItemListings.aspx?cbi=5144&igi=363928&nbc1=1
