Thanks for the warning! I don't have Google alerts but I like to read interviews, articles etc, and sometimes there's not sufficient spoiler warning on them.

TVguide online has a preview up on their House page. It's for a Watch This House special on Sunday. The preview itself has a couple of very brief shots of things still upcoming but they don't spoil anything, IMO. ETA - if you've not heard anything at all about anything (and I mean like living under a rock, not seeing the light of day and not watching a thing either on TV or in print) then maybe this thing does contain spoilers. Sorry. The reason I'm bringing it up is... at the very end Hugh Laurie does some really amazing facial acrobatics with his eyebrows... or rather eyebrow. I've never seen that before. On him or anyone else. :D It puts Spock to shame. Is this show something that's completely new? If yes, it could be really really good. Marykir, you know about these things. Help me?

marykir- 10-04-2007

It's been on a few times already & we talked about it several pages back (27 Sep). The show is pretty bad, and contains almost nothing that's in the promo. The main content is an interview with Lisa - unfortunately they ask her a bunch of questions she doesn't have answers to. The eyebrow wiggle really is amazing though. I can barely wiggle my fingers that fast :)

It's been on a few times already & we talked about it several pages back (27 Sep). Oh, it's the same one? Too bad. I have trouble keeping track of what is what, since I don't live in the US. They all look and sound the same to me. Thanks, marykir. Isn't it emberassing that the eyebrow waggle alone will help me surviving 'til Tuesday?

marykir- 10-04-2007

Well, the one they showed yesterday was a repeat, so I'm assuming the one Sunday is the same.

There's a lot (at least quantity wise, I don't know about quality) of "House" posted on the Star 94 website right now. They're a Top 40 station in Atlanta and it appears that they sent a chick to LA for the FOX casino party. I don't listen to the station, but I check their website every once in awhile because they post all of their interviews. My weekly check found both RSL and Omar up there. Unfortunately, my work computer doesn't have a sound card, so I can't tell you whether they're good or bad or just *there*. You're on your own. I can tell you that Star 94 is a pretty dreadful station and their jocks are irritating, but sometimes they pull their shit together, so maybe it doesn't suck. Anyway, I'm fairly certain this hasn't been posted, so here's where it all is. I'm not doing the direct link thing because they'll change at the site is updated. www.star94.com Go to the audio/video section on the side menu. Both RSL and Omar's interviews are there. Right now RSL's on the first page, Omar's on the second. You can also find links on the page that says something along the lines of "Shannon in Hollywood". On that page you'll find a photo set of her and various celebs, including pics of both RSL and Omar. "Bones" fans are also in luck, with interviews and pics of various cast members. Unfortunately, if you like for your faves to be identified correctly or identified at all, you're out of luck because when they weren't mispelling actors' names they were just not bothering to identify them at all. Anyway, enjoy.

Over on that Other Place, Sara M went to the FOX press junket, and briefly interviewed RSL, Omar Epps, and the newbies. House-y stuff starts here

amysusanne- 10-05-2007

There is absolutely nothing, not one single thing, that is not completely hilarious about Sara M.'s interview with RSL. Nothing.

fffaw- 10-05-2007

Oh RSL, you never cease to floor me. I'm taking my comments over to the RSL thread.

Some "House" related things in the new issue of US: Pics of Jennifer as well as Greg Grunberg are in their spread on their Hot in Hollywood party. In the little minute by minute column of the party they claim that, at 928pm, James Blunt introduced himself to Jen and she gushed about what a big fan she was. At 621pm on Friday evening I am currently going through my CDs so that I can make a mix for Jen so that she can see that there's a lot more out there than James Blunt. {g} In the "This Minute" section in the back there's a little Q&A with Olivia Wilde. It's mostly about the show, actually. I'll scan it if there's any interest, but what with the scanner being a whole five feet away from me, the prospect is far too exhausting right now. Basically, at the time of the interview she'd shot 7 episodes, said that those left didn't know who would make the final "regular" cut, she still gets mail about "The OC", she loves "The Office" (she visited the set and left a love note on Michael's desk) and on her first day at the set she just gazed at Hugh Laurie because, as she says, "He's a sexy man". eta: almost forgot...the US poll of the week is whether or not you'd want to work for House. 58% of those responding said that they would very much *not* want to do that. The accompanying pic is House looking kind of surly with the guitar in front of the classroom.

Although I have to confess, I didn't totally hate him until I heard the single for the second album, which sounded like every bad 70s easy listening song I've changed stations to escape. (I caught him on SNL...it was 12:30 at night and he had pretty eyes while singing forlornly. I was vulnerable. Don't judge me.)

In the "This Minute" section in the back there's a little Q&A with Olivia Wilde. It's mostly about the show, actually. I'll scan it if there's any interest, but what with the scanner being a whole five feet away from me, the prospect is far too exhausting right now. Maybe this is something that I should move to the "Homina Homina Homina" thread but here's something that really bothers me. I'll just say it. I find it really, really crass when a co-star goes public and gushes about how sexy their colleagues are. Particularly their married colleagues. Aside from the businsess of show, I can't imagine a scenario when this kind of internal thought externalized about co-workers is remotely appropriate. If someone asked me to describe how much I liked being around and working with my colleagues, "sexy" would not be a word I'd choose. I mean, at this point OW isn't a gushing fangirl, she's representing the show and is on the inside, not the outside looking in. To be honest, it kind of bothers me when LE does it, too. Not sure if JM sings the sexiness praises because I haven't read too many interviews with her. Those that I've read indicated that she was pretty much just into JS.

Ranee- 10-05-2007

I find it really, really crass when a co-star goes public and gushes about how sexy their colleagues are. I'll agree. It bothers me too. That said I do understand it, I can be as much a squeeing fangirl as the next one. Problem is, when the actors do it, it starts blurring the line of actor versus character (:points at LE:) Not sure if JM sings the sexiness praises because I haven't read too many interviews with her. Those that I've read indicated that she was pretty much just into JS. Not as much & yes, very into JS, but that probably added to why I found really disturbing the interview with her going on about how good a kisser HL is (i.e. re Half-Wit). Given her engagement at the time, that really squicked me.

I find it really, really crass when a co-star goes public and gushes about how sexy their colleagues are. Particularly their married colleagues. What if both co-stars are married or involved in a serious relationship? Is it more inappropriate for LE, who is involved, to comment on HL's attractiveness than it was for Sela Ward, who is married, or for Olivia Wilde, who is also married? Does someone's single status really make it more inappropriate? I think this is an interesting issue because it's almost certain that actors and actresses get asked these questions.

Does someone's single status really make it more inappropriate? I think this is an interesting issue because it's almost certain that actors and actresses get asked these questions. I'm not sure if it makes a difference. At least not IMO. I have/had no idea of the marital status of OW. And I doubt I'll ever get to the point that I care that much about her. I just think it's weird to make those sorts of comments about a married man. I mean, obviously, a fan will make those sorts of gushing statements all the time, regardless of whether the object of their affection is married or not, but those sorts of things are by all intents and purposes, anonymous. Where I think it's weird is when a co-worker does it. Do they care what co-worker's spouse thinks when they read the paper and see comments like that? And, like Ranee said, it does start to cross that line between character and actor.
