but it does surprise me that there's that big of a drop between GA and CSI. Wow. Are their demos really that different? IIRC, last season there was a pretty significant difference. But the premiere numbers were much closer and CSI had ~4M more total viewers. I was surprised that 24 and Simpsons get slightly more than House, considering the difference in their ratings. Maybe they are strong enough in one of the male demos to get the higher rate.

I guess this should go in the media thread. I'm not sure. Sara M's recap for Alone is up and she gives a little shout out to the new moderating right at the start.

I must be super-hormonal because that made me a little teary-eyed  *checks calendar* Yep, I'm super-hormonal. I miss the good ol' days every once in a while, even though this place is great.

Not that I was able to get past more than a few sentences-nor did I want to-but I didn't see it. Oh well. I never read the recaps anyway. I watched the show, I didn't need a recap. Except for American Idol. Those were gold. I needed someone had to clear up who was who for me. The first 30 weeks I couldn't tell one big voiced singer with a misplaced belief in his/her talent from the other.

galaxygirl- 10-01-2007

Did you all hear that weird sound? That was hell freezing over because SaraM was pretty positive about Wilson. Nice shout out. Some of the recaps there are pure comedy gold, I love to read the Bridezilla ones.

The first 30 weeks I couldn't tell one big voiced singer with a misplaced belief in his/her talent from the other. Ha! So true. I hardly ever watched American Idol, but I always read the recaps. Pure entertainment. And I didn't really see the shoutout in SM's recaps. But I only read the first paragraph.

amysusanne- 10-01-2007

And I didn't really see the shoutout in SM's recaps. But I only read the first paragraph. Then you got it. From her recap: And we're back for another season of tragic medical insanity and painkillers! But will there be Cottages? And will we even miss them? And am I even supposed to call them Cottages anymore, since the forums now officially endorse a different title? I don't know, I don't know, and, like House, I refuse to bend to the whim of authority! Cottages forever! Attica! I'm going to take that as a comment on the fact that any trace of Sara M. and the posters who were with the "House" forums from the beginning have been erased via all of the stupid thread title and nickname changes. I haven't read the entire thing, but even if the rest sucks, I got enough of a laugh from the "I refuse to bend to the whim of authority" line.

It makes me wonder how much longer they are going to let her write those recaps.

It makes me wonder how much longer they are going to let her write those recaps. Can Nikita edit recaps?

jj1963- 10-01-2007

If Nikita can't, I trust in Bravo to install a more powerful triumvirate that can... And now I'm suddenly getting grim flashes of taking the night train to Berlin through East Germany in 1987, before the wall came down, seeing armed guards and Alsatian dogs on every railway platform through the coal-smoke haze and strange green light of the mercury vapor street lamps...

houserocket7- 10-02-2007

It makes me wonder how much longer they are going to let her write those recaps. If you haven't read her recaps, you're missing a wonderful bit of entertainment. I always read Sara M's recaps. She is hysterical and really knows how to turn a phrase on its ass. And let us not forget it is she who brought our attention to the Weird Night Janitor Who Wears His Pants Backwards and for that alone she would deserve praise. SARA M: :urock: P.S. It's not her fault the site was taken over by the Borg.

The Oct. 8th TV Guide has pictures from the Fox fall party - Omar & Lisa; Kal, Anne, and Edi; Jennifer; and Omar & Jennifer. There's also Hugh's cover pic above some letters to the editor, 2 positive, 1 negative.

marykir- 10-02-2007

Zap2it interview with Kal Penn I didn't think it was spoilery, but I suppose if you don't know why I'm posting a link to an interview with Kal Penn, you might not want to click the link :)

hughsblues- 10-02-2007

There's also Hugh's cover pic above some letters to the editor, 2 positive, 1 negative. What in the world does a negative reaction to those pictures or that interview look like?? (says the totally biased Hugh fan who loved it all too much to admit that other people might not be as shot in the ass with Hugh as I am...)

marykir- 10-02-2007

What in the world does a negative reaction to those pictures or that interview look like?? Enough with Hugh Laurie! He plays a boring, one-dimensional character who's grown so tiresome, I've quit watching.
