Much to my amazement, my TV Guide arrived today. At the risk of repeating myself, why oh why couldn't this be a television interview!!!!
And just saw this quote from the article:
Who knew? Laurie auditioned for Monk. Says Leonard, "The world was blessed you were cast somewhere else."
Sigh.
Fox now has four episode clips for 504 on the
official site.
Spoilers, obviously.
ETA: they also have a clean version of the TVGuide cover.
If they're where I think they are filming-wise for S5, shouldn't they be working on either now or very soon, the 100th episode? The entertainment shows usually do a story when a show hits that milestone and always show the cast cutting a cake. Maybe we'll see something on E! News or Access Hollywood this week or next.

Was there more to the article than was posted because I don't see anywhere in the article that the above was mentioned? I'm still waiting for my TV Guide. I just know the mailman took it.
The comment about Monk is a caption on the silly string photo.
The 100th episode would be 5x14; I figured they would be filming it during November sweeps. It will be interesting to see if any of the infotainment shows capture the celebration (assuming there is a celebration...). The syndicated shows haven't paid a lot of attention to House so far this season.

sdemar - It's not in the article itself, it's a tiny blurb on the bottom of the page of the first pic where Hugh is spraying the silly string at RSL.
marykir - The reason I thought they'd be working on the 100th episode about now is because I thought it was said on one of those interviews with Hugh and LE (I think), that was either on the Fox site or on the TV Guide site that at that time they were on #11 or 12 - and this was like early September - so I figured they'd be on #14 by now. But maybe I dreamed that!
eta - And now that I think about it, in that interview it was said they were on like #8 - so I'm way off! November probably would be when they'd be working on #14.
I did my figuring a while back, so it could easily be off. Especially since every actor seemed to think they were filming a different episode :) They're definitely getting close though!

Ah, darn it. I suck so badly at math, that up until now I was absolutely convinced that 513 was going to be the 100th episode and was insanely happy about it, because a recently posted interview by Diane Kristine at blogcritics gave away that my fav author wrote 513.
I can't count! :crying:
ETA: Going by the dates of the most recent episode stills and assuming they took the whole of August off after shooting 508, they should be working on 512 right now (if they managed to keep the eight days per episode shooting schedule).
NY Times television critic
Bill Carter ranks "House" among his top 10 shows of all time in a Q&A with readers. (He says his current favorite is a split between "Lost" and "The Office.")
A coworker gave me a copy of TV Guide because she knows I like House. I thought RSL was very funny in the interview.

He was, and what else was hilarious was the way Hugh Laurie kept trying to keep him from saying something absolutely disastrous. Robert really does strike me as a very good-natured guy, but one who's so open with his thoughts that he can get himself in so much trouble in interviews, poor dear. And to watch Hugh trying -- with considerable success -- to steer him away from the rocks was simply wonderful. They really shouldn't let Robert do interviews alone anymore. They need to send him out with Hugh from now on.
I think you're right about that. RSL came very close to putting his foot in his mouth several times.
Anne Dudek is one of the featured "hey, it's that guy" actors in this week's Entertainment Weekly.
(Sorry, I can't find an electronic link yet.)

Yeah, it's almost like there's a role reversal in real life, with RSL being the one with not much of a monitor on what comes out of his mouth. I can see why LE says that she's laughing all the time when she works with HL and RSL.
